We've gotta be careful now of not signing these "Moulson" or "Bickel" type contracts at this point going forward

Sounds like a McCabe scenario. They'll give him a few NHL games right away then decide next year where to put him. Fwiw it sounds like he's ready now.

I thought that was a CHL thing. I do remember as was said the notion of a tryout deal. Don't think he can play in the NHL on a tryout though? Seeing as it's normally called an AHL tryout contract or something like that. I don't really care how it happens, I just don't want the kid to do the college Free Agent route like someone suggested he wanted to way back when.

Sabres last game is April 9, Amerks is April 17.

I'm not sure if someone would need to play X number of games with Rochester to be able to make the playoff roster. Makes me wonder if people like Pysyk, McCabe, Eichel or Reinhart might get more time this season down there
