They wanted russel most, but offered the package to Vancouver first? Russel only went to Dallas after Canucks rejected their offer and asked for more. Dallas took rejected offer from Canucks to Calgary and they took it.

Thats a stretch tbh. Babs has them working hard but there was no reason to believe anything other than the season was a write off day one. Truth.

i agree but at least the leafs signed a bunch of veteran role players to fill spots. the lack of high end talent meant we would suck regardless, but at least having guys like hunwick, PA, Boyes, Matthias, etc... would help us be competitive.

Our record has gone downhill in a hurry since JvR got hurt which isnt surprising since he is our only 1st line forward. Losing Bozakk to i jury was a huge blow as he is our center best suited to play in any situation.

The Leafs apprently have the 5th most shots on goal per game this year, but when half of them are grabner(not sniper)missing breakaways it doesnt really matter
