100% agree on everything you're saying. I'm fine with Girgensons doing better than expected. But if he doesn't, I think He/Larsson/Foligno would make a fine 3rd line for 2-3 years. People have mentioned Bailey and Fasching in that role. It sounds good on paper until they ice the puck and the opposing team gets to put their first line out against them in their own zone. A couple of years experience being a defensive forward can keep a lot of mistakes from happening. And if they regularly play against other bottom 6 talent, I think they would do at least average work.

This summer should (hopefully) determine who else Murray can add to the "core"
2 more "top6" talents up front, and a partner for Risto will really move this team in the right direction
Might be tough to do that....
But I'm sure Murray will try

You add a healthy Lehner, a 20 goal Ennis and a Moulson doing anything, and i think this team looks at least a bit better.
I think if most people though about ennis and eichel or ROR prior to this season, they would be salivating.
If we could start next year healthy with just one new winger for the top 6 and another good defenceman, i would be happy.
