Tone of the season changed when he came up
They looked like a tired, maxed out squad, just barely hanging in there. He gave them skill and production and youth, at a time when the season was skewing negative - AllInForFlyers

They're so bad on shoot outs, it laughable...
That being said, they never quit and did better than I thought.
Very proud! - WhirlingDervish
damn the SO cost us so many points. |

3 out of 4 in back to back in florida is a pretty good weekend. it sucks they blew 2 leads tonight.
i'm a big mason fan, and not putting this game on him at all. the coverage was horrendous on all the goals. the first line sucked again. that said, i would have loved to see neuvirth tonight. |

the pp probably hurt them in the OT. - hammarby31
Jake would have really helped in that situation... |

mase was good
there wasn't an easy goal scored on him
I agree on the B2B games and alternating the goalies
would ask Haks that question in all seriousness |

not to be disrespectful but I would have used Stoli in the shootout - vejim
For whatever reason they're waaaay too cautious with Stoli. They didn't use him earlier in the season when Neuvy was hurt and they still decided to give Mase all the starts even when Mase himself wasn't fully healthy. I doubt they would use him this late in the season with playoffs on the line. |

I wouldn't say I'm very proud. I'm happy that they've come together and they have some great building blocks but there are some issues with this team still. Shootout is what it is, they've always sucked at it and they always will.
But Gudas, Streit, and Schultz are horrendous. Gudas cost us both goals with the ill advised slide that took him to nowhereville and the lack of hustle to pick up his man. Streit can't get a (frank)ing shot through to save his life and when he does he makes the crest on the jersey of the goalie hurt. And Schultz just flat out sucks.
Plus why the (frank) is the Bellemare line on in the last 45 seconds? To play for overtime. I don't care that Jagr is out there, go for a (frank)ing win. |

can't throw him into that situation unless absolutely necessary. |

If flyers had won 5-6 more of them they wouldn't be a bubble team. That's how much it hurts. |

I agree. Gudas didn't do him any favors on the third goal, but I thought it was one he might have been able to have. |

gudas has been excellent of late. tonight was not his best. i'm more irritated with the weak stick check on the go ahead goal than the slide on the pk. a lot of players were guilty tonight in their own end. they were sloppy.
i am looking forward to streit and schultz not being here. |

eh they are outgunned by this current florida team and luongo was playing out of his ass tonight
ghost is their #1a D man now as a (frank)in rookie
gonna take some more time, even with this last very satisfying stretch of games |

I can't wait until Jake comes back....so the team doesn't have to dump the puck in on the powerplay. Every...single...(frank)ing...time. That's one of my pet peeves: PP dump ins. |

yep. it's a major factor. the devils went 0-13 2 seasons ago. it kept them out. i (frank)ing hate that this is STILL a reason they might not make it. i wish the (frank)ing thing would die.
go 3 on 3 for 10 minutes and call it a day. for (frank)'s sake.
goddamnit. |
