I agree. Sam is really blowing up lately and it would really sting to see him leave in a trade. The return would have to be huge. And I think reeling in Stamkos would load our forward talent to the point where Murray could actually consider it...

The chemistry he's building with Jack is something special though.

Yeah, but it was all over the internet yesterday/last night. There were about 6 stories just on the yahoo homepage including one from The Washington Post. I know yahoo tailors the stories you see, which I hate, but still The Washington Post... Not too shabby. I think I'd rather have it written about all over the internet than on an NBC broadcast with about 37 people watching.

There are guys that for all intents and purposes are untouchable that would require a massive overpayment, but to have a blanket statement like that is untrue. What if Tampa signed Stamkos to an 8 year extension for say $72M are you really trying to say you would package Reinhart to get him? You'd be fooling yourself.

His consistently stellar decision making with the puck, ability to adapt and play well with anyone in the top 6, good character, and friendship with Jack make him untouchable for me. Of course there's always "no-one-is-untouchable-guy" lurking in the shadows --

I just have a problem using "100%" that's all. I agree, I don't want to get rid of him for anything less than a big overpayment on another team's part. But saying "100% untouchable" is just a tad hyperbolic for my taste. To each his own.

Nope I don't package Reinhart to get Stamkos . To big a price . You control Reinhart for a few more years at a great deal . And him and Eichel are Becoming a real duo on the ice and great friends off. Moving him might screw with Eichels head.

I would seriously consider it. You get an NHL ready player in drouin and TB wants to re-load they'll get a nice d prospect (Chychrun, Sergachev, Juolevi). A win-win. A big sorta splash at the draft in Buffalo.

In theory yes but If Im moving the pick I want a d-man. I think a trade or FA signing for another top 6 forward is possible without using that pick. Im not sure the same is true about a top pair d-man.
