traded for bennett, TE from bears
that TE is a beast - homiedclown
He can be pretty damn good. Top 7 guy. If he plays up to potential. I had him on a team I drafted for a friend last year and he was up and down all year. It was brutal.
I remember him on Hard Knocks when he was with the Cowboys. He stole the show.
So they really don't like WR there do they? Edelman and Amendola are both slot guys. They have no one on the outside. |

How's everybody's brackets looking? I totally didn't give a (frank) this year. My Final Four is Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Iowa State. I have Kansas edging Iowa State to cut down the nets. My 12 over 5 is Yale. And I actually picked Hawaii because Cal's starting PG just broke his hand today. |

STAMKOS is even more valuable - homiedclown
League wide Scoring has been remarkable steady over the last five years.
Less than 2% variation.
www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/stats.html
In the same years, From 2011 to 2014, Stamkos averaged more than 1.0ppg. This season, so far, also according to hockeyreference.com, he's down to 0.79ppg. 21% decline.
Sorry to break up the sparkle party. |

"The Stamkos Thing"
Thought I'd dig up some numbers on Stamkos
Linemates this season:
37 games - Callahan
31 games - Namestnikov
29 games - Killorn (including the last 15 games)
19 games - Palat
15 games - Kucherov
13 games - Filpulla
13 games - Drouin
Of those players, the top 3 guys he's played with (Callahan, Namestnikov, Killorn) have an average of just under 31 points this season (28, 30, 34).
Callahan is 30 coming off his best season in his career (54 points, 28 so far this year.
Namestnikov had played 47 games prior to this season
Killorn is a career 40-point guy
Tampa is 68 goals below last season's total (with 12 games yet to play this year), yet Stamkos is "only" 12 goals off his total from last season, despite playing with a lot of 2nd/3rd line guys.
Edit: despite all this, Stamkos is 8th overall in Goals Scored this season |

Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat coming down to earth may have something to do with it.

And what is his average ice time per game this year vs. Previous years? How do his linemates compare?

It's been lower...but reaching back 60 years is quite the stretch.
I posted recently how scoring has been pretty stable for the last 20 years, with a short stint of about 5-6 years in the middle where it was up a bit. |

Well i mean goals per game has been almost the exact same every year since the mid-late 90s besides a few crazy seasons in there of extremly high goal scoring... i don't know why people keep saying differently.
