It would be next year. I think Bogo's NMC kicked in start of this season. - Sabresfan-365
I'm pretty sure I remember them saying he waived his no trade clause to come here. So he all ready had it. |

Ryan O'Reilly's 50 point season is the 1st for the #Sabres since Pominville (73 pts), Vanek (61), and Stafford (50) in 2011-12. |

Casino's aren't spending money on anything that won't make them money, to many greedy executives, new thing for casino's is.......... fire all the employees and lease everything out and keep all the executives.
Sure fans from other teams will go, i'll be there in full gear for the Sabres but to think people that live here will go every night when the team plays isn't gonna happen. - SABRES 89
The locals are too busy scrounging around for loose change in the streets to gamble with. Any money spent on hockey would be less to spend on video poker. Vegas is a horrible place to live although Summerlin ain't bad. |

Probably thinking of Gorges. Bogo's no move kicked in this year.

Hm. Guess you're right.
"The deal includes a no-movement clause that kicks in years three through five of his deal, and a limited no-trade clause in the final two years of his contract." |

Any way you slice it?
You must mean if players with a NTC/NMC have to be protected?
If that is not a restriction, keep McCabe all day every day over Bogosian. - kingcong39
Yep that's what i meant as stashu said it's still unclear and the league and PA are trying to work something out. |

I believe it's just NMC not NTC. |

Either way the clause is still being discussed regarding expansion drafting so we don't really what we'd need to do regarding Bogosian. |

Let's say there is a rule about keeping NMC players: to me that would mean I would be looking to get rid of Bogo in a trade before I could potentially lose McCabe.
Of course, if they don't get a top D this offseason, it won't matter as they can simply keep all three of Risto, Bogo, and McCabe. |

Summerlyn is an arm pit of crime and it's not as bad as you say. |

It gets uglier with the true expansion date though (talk of it being after next season).
Forced to protect: Bogosian
Obvious players to protect: Eichel, Reinhart, O'Reilly, Ristolainen
That leaves either 3 more of any non-goalie or 4 forwards and 1 d-man
That also leaves out whoever the team may trade or sign for in this offseason/next year's deadline. - stashu
I had heard that the "force to protect" players can be asked to waive and be made available at expansion time. Good luck with that, but it's always a hope |

That's true my cousin's place in Summerlin was broken into once ..... was a pretty nice high-end development when it was first built though. |

Sounds like You don't know the place too well.
I've lived in Henderson(suburb which is basically the eastern half of the valley) for the past 10 years. Like any city, it is what you make of it. If you enjoy the outdoors, I couldn't imagine a better place, 9 months of great weather and any terrain, from desert, snow, mountains, ocean within 3 hrs drive.
If all you want to do is gamble, I imagine these days you can do that in any city.
There's also more interest in hockey than most think. They've already received 13,000 deposits from individuals for season tickets. Hellll, even amongst my small group of friends, 3 are rabid fans and 1 still plays in a local adult hockey league. |
