Come on guys....blowing the Neil thing a little out of proportion.
No doubt it was a giant Richard move, no reason to do it.......but there wasn't enough force there to hurt him or anything.
Richard move - absolutely
Dirty intent to injure - not at all
As for the guy who talked about he phaneuf hit......come on man, no head contact at all. This is hockey, hitting is allowed.
Great game by you guys.......jealous of your young talent. Eichel is ridiculously good |

Nash, Hall, Eberle, Laine, Pujaravii, Ttachuk any of those I'd love - bluengold12
Girgs, Pysyk (from edmonton)/+ our 1st for Hall |

If hall gets moved it will be a 1 for 1, land them a #1 instead of a few good pieces. |

Eichel was tripped and slid into the boards. He was on his knees getting up and Neil just skated in (way after the play was dead) and then started hitting Echel with his stick around the head, kneeing him in the ribs, and pushing his head and face into the dasher. - JetpackJesus
Love it.
Jack has a mean side and it will come out. |

I am going to get ripped for this, but I have never hated Neil. Tough guy who could pot some goals.
Never thought the Drury hit was dirty. And tonight, I love how he toughened up Jack. |

Normally I'd agree, but they need a player like both in the trade and the 3rd could be another impact player.
That'd be alot for Hall. |

So why has #25 been playing ahead of Rhudy #5?? Maybe the like give rhudy big minutes in Rochester but he was impressive - was even on the PP

Really? I don't think that's close for him. Top 5 winger in the league easily. They can get players like Pysyk/Girgs in a trade for Eberle or Nuge. No point moving Hall for that kind of package |

I don't think anyone blew it out of proportion. No one said it was intent to injure. Everyone was just noting that the incident, even if ultimately harmless, was a perfect reminder why we all hate Chris Neil.
And I think the posts describing the incident, which were for the benefit of someone who did not see it, did so accurately. |

They badly need quality depth and they would get exactly that with the deal that was proposed.
I also don't think a true number 1 or even maybe a number 2 D would go back for Hall. How often are known commodity top pair D traded, especially number ones? |

It was a hit on the side, not the back. He hit his head on the ice which opened him up.
People said "keep your head up". Drury's head was up as he watched his shot go wide. |

Hard to see why they'd trade him for anything less than a top pair defenseman
Or future top pair defenseman, like Chychrun |

I think the descriptions made it sound worse than it actually was. It was a Richard move and unnecessary but there was no attempt to injure.

Right but my point was they could get that kind of deal without trading taylor hall. |

Think Jones for Johanson type trade
That's what would make the most sense for Edmonton
One of the Ducks defenseman, Trouba, Hammonic...
Maybe not a true #1, but they'd have to at least get something like one of those guys + if they're dealing Hall |

The reason it needs to be addressed is to stop any future events... it was a Richard move, granted it wasn't hard enough to hurt anyone but that's not the point, you don't mess with our young guys...period! If you do expect a response.
we are going to enjoy watching these guys mature that is for sure... |

You're right you are going to get heat for it. It was one of the biggest scumbag hits to take an elbow to the captain and at the time one of the best players in the league. Well after he had passed the puck. Give me a (frank)ing break. |
