You got the wrong guy, bub.
I don't care at all about the Leafs unless we're playing. |

Haven't watched enough of the Leafs but somebody mentioned last night that they're a good possession team.
Are they playing a style like the Wings did when Babcock was coaching them?
The Wings almost played soccer hockey where they seemed to pass it backwards more than forwards with a keep away mentality. |

So, if we end up with pick say 6, should the Sabres try to trade up into the 2 or 3 spot to land one of Laine or Puljujarvi? Or should we be content and take one of the D available.
If we go the trade route, what's the cost?
Would our 1st + Ennis / Gus get er done? I'm thinking we would To include a Dman somehow. |

If they're trying to get somebody like Lindholm, and they're picking 6-8, they'd need to include the pick, Pysyk, and one of Ennis/Girgensons to get the Ducks to at least be interested. |

Hey there Korab...
So I must have clouded the question.
What would it cost to move up from say 6 to 2 in the draft?
Would our 1st and Ennis be enough? If not, what would it take? |

I'm never good at predicting that, but I think it would be a similar cost to what I outlined to get somebody like Lindholm. |

I guess a lot depends on exactly who we are trading with and our exact position in the draft.
I would hope we could do it for something like our 1st, Ennis and Baptiste. I don't really want to give up a Dman at all since we are really thin at that position.
I guess we could stop gap it by signing a older FA for 2 or 3 years to allow one of the D in the pipeline to go through their development period. |
