No that's way too much. 8th pick is about as far as I go.
Lindholm is a nice player, but he isn't Subban - sbroads24
Judging by your response and 365 above, it has me thinking the deal is about right in what it would take for Anaheim to move him as I am guessing, if they're smart, they would have Fowler as the number 1 priority to move of their D.
If it was the 8th pick, Ennis, Girgensons, and Pysysk going the other way, it would be for Lindholm AND their 1st round pick. |

You're right, he's significantly better defensively. - Sabresfan-365
And much worse offensively. Which is our problem.
I like Lindholm a lot. But he's no where near a Norris caliber defensemen. You don't trade top 10 picks along with 3 roster players for that |

It's OK to admit you have the one and only fathead of Lindholm on your wall |

Our offense is a problem because we spend way too much time in our own end. Lindholm fixes that. I assume they'll be adding to the wings as well to improve scoring. |

There is a difference between doing what it takes, and being stupid.
Lindholm is a great target, but he isn't a once and a lifetime get.
I mean Seth Jones commanded a lot less |

He brought back Ryan Johansen, a 30+ goal scorer and former 4th overall pick... |

Is he playing 60 minutes a night?
Actually he's averaging less than 22. Can he even handle a workload like Ristolainen?

Correct - you make the pick - he should end up beign a top player. Sign or make a "salary cap" trade for your #1 LHD , sign a top 6 forward (Stamkos will do) and we're a playoff team |

And you're proposing 8th overall pick, Pysyk (former 1st) Girgensons (1st) and Ennis a former 1st.
That's insane |

I get what you are saying, but they are going to be waiting at least a year, more than likely, for the 6th-8th pick to make an impact, and they are going to need a D back as they would be giving up their best D in the deal.
No way I am trading McCabe, as he would absolutely be the one they want, so in order for them to accept Pysyk as the D coming back, they are likely going to want another player as well.
Just my guess on Lindholm and what it would take to get him. |

If they view Lindholm that valuable than they aren't trading him in the 1st place. Unless they can't agree on a contract |

That's insane - sbroads24
Using that logic we've already given 5 first rounders fro kane and bogo, by comparison my proposal looks like a steal.
Does girgs fit here long term? Pysyk? Bylsma doesn't seem to think so. Im very confident that we'd be getting the best player in the deal. |

Just because they don't fit long term doesn't mean they don't have any value |

I agree and if they can find good value for them and at the same time land a top pairing d-man that would be ideal. I don't see that happening though. |

Hypothetical for the group.
The draft lottery is held and Buffalo finds out they are picking 8th.
They call Anaheim asking about Lindholm, and Anaheim says they need the 8th pick, McCabe, and Girgensons, to make the trade.
Buffalo counters with the 8th pick, Pysyk, and Ennis.
Anaheim responds with the 8th pick, Pysyk, and Girgensons.
Do you do that trade (8th, Pysyk, Girgensons for Lindholm) if you're Buffalo? - kingcong39
No. I tell Anaheim to shove it, and select Juolevi at #8 solving my future top pairing problem with Risto.

The flaw there is that fans don't make trades . I bet they over value their players just like we do.
