Trolling is against the coc, so if they choose to only ban the response, then it's bias or unjust. It isn't a big deal to get banned, but the point stands

I am glad you brought that up, and here is that rule just for reference:
7. No trolling and no feeding the trolls
All posters are welcome in all threads, regardless of team loyalty, to discuss hockey. But do not post merely to inflame or disrupt.

Do not engage those who are out to disrupt the thread. Simply hit the post report button "!" and the Mods will deal with it from there.

Do not correct the spelling and grammar of other posters. Their errors may make you question how much credence to give their opinions, that’s up to you, but correcting their lapses is rude and trollish.

So the correct response would be to hit report every time there is a "troll" comment. The problem with that is that what is deemed a "troll" is subjective, and viewed differently among different people. Are those tired lame old jokes an attempt to troll by that poster? Most likely yes. Are they simply ignored and reported, or just fed most of the time?

Also what gets someone banned and what doesn't? You and I had our differences and were "conversing" over a topic for like 3 months. Most likely both considered trolling one another, but at no point did I feel our discussion should have been cut short by banning it at the start.

After all, isn't posting on an internet message board in general, in some way an attempt to get a response? Do you want them to completely remove any sort of rivalry or differing opinions about teams/players? If they ban for the harmless stuff that Twittler posts, then they have to ban anyone who post any inflammatory comment, even if it is just simple jesting between fans of rival teams.

What would the fates of Alexoil, Needsmorehorsecock, Oildumb, twittler and Hallfan be under a Coga regime?
