I've never seen a player that spins his wheels as much as Yakupov and goes nowhere.
You guys need to trade him ASAP... Something around Yakupov for Hamonic. - As_I_See_It
We (frank)ing wish. |

Why on earth would the Islanders even consider that? One is a legit player in this league. The other is a suspect. |

Yup, it's likely gonna be on of Eberle, Nuge, Nurse, or Klefbom going the other way if a Hamonic trade to EDM goes down. |

I'm rooting for you to win... Not the other way around. We lost to the Leafs without our starting goalie and our best player on back to back nights by the way. But I want to finish around 4th last so we get a better chance at the lottery. It would actually benefit you guys to swap positions with us and take the best defenceman in the draft |

The Oilers are in danger of winning themselves out of the bottom 5...
Lol and you guys wonder why everyone beaks you |

More kids isn't the answer
We need to trade the pick for established defenders
We're already waiting on development from blue chip defenders in klefbom/nurse.
I'd say klefbom is already is unequivocally a top 3/4 defender, but he's been out for 4 months
Chycrun does nothing for us. If we can't find a taker for our pick and it's top 3, laine will be the pick (assuming it's not 1) |

I assume an announcer said that ?
First- he wouldn'tve meant that as a bad thing

Fair enough but we're in a similar boat. If we finish above 5 we may want to trade the pick as it won't benefit us right now. Plus having the draft in Buffalo... I think a top 4 pick. (One of the two fins or Keith's kid) would be really beneficial to us. I guess you could plausibly trade your top three pick but we both know when the time comes for the draft you'll just end up taking the pick and getting yet another winger because in all honesty there's never really a trade offer worthy of a top three pick. |

It's true that Generally the offers aren't there. That said - if one if the fins are there, that'll be our pick |

I agree but what I'm saying is you guys need an NHL ready defenceman wayyyyy more than you need another skilled winger. So if you we're drafting at 5-8 then the pick would be easier to trade and you could get that guy you need. |

Nah
Yaks in a bust
Ebs is trade bait
Even if ebs isn't, I don't think we need an 18 year old kid who'll be in junior more than a power winger in laine. Neither helps a ton straight away, so u take the better prospect regardless of position. And the asset to trade down doesn't make it worth it either. (A 2nd?)
As I said, maybe they'd be interested, but if it's not an nhl ready guy, I doubt it
I think it's s common misconception of what we should've done or something. They did draft defenders. We have some extremely qualify young defenders. Nurse, klefbom, Davidson. But they're developing. More doesn't necessarily help |

I hope we can get some help on the blueline because a concern I have is we keep putting these kids in situations they arent ready for and giving them the minutes they arent ready to handle.....you already see it with Nurse during stretches |

No he would just be another prospect we would put into the fire too soon with the risk of wrecking him

I said "something around Yakupov for Hamonic," not straight up, just something involving Yak and Ham going the other way. Add what's needed to get it done.

Feels like after that first pp where they absolutely owned possession , just waited us out while we couldn't do anything, maybe adjust and get a little more aggressive this time ?
Nah
Same thing.
And of course they score again
Hindsight's easy I guess. But that first pp was pretty crazy dominant. |
