I think it's s common misconception of what we should've done or something. They did draft defenders. We have some extremely qualify young defenders. Nurse, klefbom, Davidson. But they're developing. More doesn't necessarily help

I don't disagree he's a "first overall bust" and his hockey iq is nonexistent, but I'm sure we'd find takers. The dynamic talent is there no doubt. A team in need of cheaper scoring with big upside would prob take a chance

But certainly not for someone of hamonics stature.

I don't trade Nurse for Hamonic.

That is a long term loss IMO.

In a couple of years Hamonic, as long as he keeps up this level, will be on the coattails of his contract and will be certainly looking for 6M-ish.

While Nurse, I believe, will have grown into Hamonic-like at a minimum and still be under pay control.

I do other things to get Hamonic than trade Klef or Nurse.

What should be freaking you out is that they could END UP in the bottom 5 AGAIN. And they will. With McDavid. Nurse. Dreiseitl and all the number one and high end draft picks over 8 years. Ummm...don't yah think you should be getting better? To be hoping for a bottom 5 pick to try and win another lottery. Really. What for? You gonna take Austin Matthews. Where does he fit?
