If the healthy scratch list criteria was "recent play" as opposed to "last name either 'Manning' or 'Medvedev'" then Sreit would be the scratch.

I would scratch MacDonald and Manning before Streit

I would add Eklund's barber to that list.

Really cool article about the hindsight of the Weber offer sheet and why the Flyers won by not getting him.

it is a fun game to play, but almost impossible to evaluate. there were a lot more roster moves that happened after the weber offer sheet not to mention salary cap implications. we will never know how it wouldve ended up...but I'd say it will end up working out well for both teams

True, because Provorv, Morin, and Sanheim are all destined to be better NHL players than Shea Weber.

I don't know about scratching Streit but early in the year before he was hurt and ghost came up he looked really good on power play , then came ghost who was and is much better on the point. Early in the year when on the number one P.Play he wasn't killing penalties . When he came back I beleive they wanted to trade him so they were showcasing him to show he could still play as they don't really need him and ghost , just nobody wanted that high salary and Hexy couldn't retain any of it.Penalty kill has been solid so Hakstol doesn't change much when going good but personally maybe penalty kill and power play is too much for Streit right now. Leave him on powerplay where he has always been good and maybe less penalty kill, leaving him more rested as were gonna need him down the stretch. Hopefully they can all bounce back . Gonna be a tough week.

This sucks, because the league will probably deem it a hit to the head, even though Kane was hunched over looking down at the puck.

The creep was pretty woozy after the hit. I thought it was completely clean.

It's not that he looks gassed out there, it's just that he looks lost. Seeing him in person last Saturday, he looked a lot worse than he does on TV. He just doesn't seem to know what to do with the puck, which was always his strength.

I just remember how much of a bummer it was with that whole poopstorm period of time waiting for Weber and, ultimately, "losing" him.

To add to the lunch discussion... BBQ Chicken Noodle Soup. Didn't sound like a good thing. Tried it via a recommendation of a co-worker. Actually was tasty.

He looks legitimately slow out there. Not referring to pure skating speed, but reaction time and decision making.

Yeahs it's weird. I'll watch him and just be like that's super odd Bc he normally would do this or make this type of play whereas lately he just is hesistant or just doesn't know what to do

I just thought it was a good article from a pretty knowledgeable source (THN). Thinking about Weber and what could have been was such a bummer for so long. Now that its a thing of the past, I like the idea of looking at what we actually do have and where we are as a team.

Good depth for a Phantoms team that needs reinforcements on D, particularly right handed ones with Alt possibly on the way out.

I think he really only has AHL upside right? He is a d-first d-man who had a decent NCAA career.. Admittedly I dont know much about him.
