Waiting on lindblom....
Tic toc tic toc - Just5
I'd love to see more of him. He just seems to know where to be to get goals. If he pans out and becomes a middle six guy who can score 20, it'd be a huge steal for the Flyers. |

By the way, does anyone know specifically why Ryan Pilon retired? He had pretty decent numbers and could have been a 2nd round pick. |

He seems like another Raffl/Read type, which is fine by me. |

I thought there was something about not having the "want to" to play. I think that is what I remember seeing written. |

He was already drafted last year, in the 5th round, by the Islanders |

Well, can't fault him there. If that's what he wants, it's better he walk away than be another Daigle. |

Yes, but that was after he'd announced that he was thinking of quitting. They probably took a shot in case he reconsiders. |

Takes some stones to go against the grain. You know there were some people probably in his ear telling him he is an idiot for passing on a chance at millions.
I give the kid credit for doing what he wants. |

I guess a 30% chance of becoming a legit NHL-er wasn't good enough for him. |

His draft stock started dipping a bit before that, he was drafted in June, quit playing in September. He looked like a potential steal for the Isles, a guy who had 2nd round talent, but who fell for whatever reasons.
Just flat out said he lost his passion to play. |

Didn't Stefan Legion kind of quit to when in Columbus before he got traded to Flyers? |

Don't like Jake staying on the 3rd line. There is no cohesion there. Just put him back on the top line and get the raffl-coots-schenn line back together for cripes sake |

My bad, I'd thought he quit before the draft.
Maybe there were grumblings about it before it went public. |

I think he will be more power forward/ net guy than those two.. Kinda like Tomas Holmstrom was for Detroit..
Could be wrong, but I just feel like he is always around the net.
EDIT: Also, I see Raffl as a power forward-ish forward, but I think Lindblom will be more traditional power forward. |

Lot of buzz about him looking disinterested and not seeming to really care during games, still put up pretty good numbers. I remember reading Mark Edwards, a junior scout saying Pilon always seemed to leave him wanting more.
EDIT: I remember some of that, back when I was watching a lot of Provorov leading up to the 2015 draft. More concerned about his physicality than lack of heart, just figured he was a bigger dude who was a bit soft. |

Agreed. Giroux is a great player, but he's had an average year at best by his standards. Time for him to put the team on his back and carry them to the playoffs. - PLindbergh31
Well for the first month he was playing with the slumpiest slumping slumper in Jake. 10-15 points a month except for October. In contrast, Toews has 10 or more points in only January. |

there's a guy named Joe Thornton and another named Joe Pavelski which have been carrying their team. I wish Giroux took notes. |

I missed this: CV suspended 2 games for his hit on Toews.
Seems fair to me. |

I was glad he still looked fast and not tentative about movement and mixing it up. The hands will follow. |

yes no doubt but there's no justification to break up Schenn Giroux and Simmonds right now |
