that is my thought every time I see that car. What is weird is they decided to wait until after the Isles left to plan a reno to Nassau. They should go back because Barclays is not a place built for hockey. - YuenglingJagr

If Gudas is nursing a shoulder injury, then Ghost is nursing an injury to both shoulders, his back, both legs, and has several hernias. |

Thanks Bill. The next two games a very winnable, however with the team's shaky play, it's a toss up. They have the skill set to win both, but I question their mindset. Are they counting the golf days already, or can they remain focused on the task at hand? We shall see.
If I was Hak, I would put V-check in VDV's spot, and keep the other lines the way they were before VDV's suspension. This allows V-check to work his way back into the line-up, and doesn't mess with the chemistry that the other lines may have found. When VDV returns, I would save V-check for the playoffs, if we do bother to get in there.
In addition, if we start to falter, and dump a few games, then I would start Stolarz from there on out; give him some experience for gosh sakes. We are going to have to let him in the door sometime, and why not sooner rather than later, since everyone seems to want to get rid of at least one of our current goalies.
Finally, the team has to watch out for the Islanders fourth line. Clutterbutt, and company have a tendency to go for the dirty hit. I say we send Gudas out every time Clutterbutt is on the ice...lol.

This may be off the current topic, but in looking at the records of the teams currently in playoffs, I see the Flyers with nearly the same records in the loss column. Where the Flyers come up short every year, is in the Shootouts. If they won half of all their shootouts, they would be solidly in. Can someone please explain why Flyers management has failed to address their shootout shortcomings? It kills them every year!! |

If you were GM, what would you do to address their shootout shortcomings? Genuinely curious.

everyone agrees jagr is sexier than erin andrews, but ben affleck dressed as batman gives us all the same feelings as ivan provorov on the flyers. The picnic may happen this weekend, but unfortunately funmaster wont be there nor will he be able to post sea creature gifs until the company he works for runs out of money and goes underwater which I can only assume will help him make an incredible comeback - YuenglingJagr

The Tinder juice cleanse guy wants to have a forum picnic. It sounds sketchy to me tbh. I'm just going to stick to my Sunday brunches with S2TP. You are welcome to join us, but please dress nice. |

I think it's more of a weird curse and a mental thing more than an issue that can be fixed by addressing. I strongly believe a very high percentage of the league would be happy to roll giroux and gagner out in a shootout. Yea, maybe after that we don't have a clear cut 3rd, but those 2 have the hands to be nasty in the SO, and sometimes they are, just not always when it's needed. As far as the goaltending, Mason will make Some sick saves in a game, some of them even on breakaways, then once the shootout comes he is like a sieve.
Personally I am Ok with not being a great SO team. Yes, it's frustrating, but if you are a good enough team, shootouts will never come back to haunt you because you close out the games and get points before the SO more often than not. Then playoffs come and SOs are a nonfactor |

I could be wrong but think they are the worst team in it since it has become a fixture.
We can say what we want to make ourselves feel better, but at the end of the day in a league with so much parity blowing away points is a fools game.
