From what someone close to me has said, there is a better chance he's here than Toronto. It's Tampa that's still the favorites. He likes living there

When McKenzie & Dreger come out and say he probably won't consider playing in Toronto, it's bc they've heard something
And I'd bet they've heard it from more than one person to make that big of a statement

He would leave big Canadian endorsement money on the table . Canadian corporations that only operate north of the border Like Canadian Tire ( probably biggest reseller of Hockey gear up there. Presidents Choice , Harvey's , Rona and Many more . Those are on top of his International endorsements. I know his private life would suck but a couple million more a year could ease the suckiness!

My money is still on him going to Montreal . Him and PK are close friends since they were in pee wee.

The reasons that were brought up about him not wanting to go to Toronto had to do with having to play through a rebuild the next few seasons
Had nothing to do with $$$
I think the endorsements would put Toronto or Montreal over the top if he felt those teams were neck & neck with whatever other teams he was considering
Maybe if Toronto gets Mattews that could help push him in that direction as well
Still doesn't seem like enough of what he cares about is winning
Montreal seems much more likely
Although he'd have to wonder what kind of talent they really have there with the way he's fallen apart this year

I think he stays in Tampa. If they give him 10 it would be close to any other team giving him 12

I feel it's most likely he re-signs in Tampa. How often do you see Stamkos caliber players in free agency? Almost never. I think Yzerman will get the deal done.
