It would be so nice to see a 60 minute effort from this team. |

They gotta get Tavares going again. Trade for a legit #1 goalie too. |

Have to love Cappy's comments after the Stars game Noel. He must have fell asleep. I would still break up the 4th line and try Cal with JT and Nelson and Casey with Lee and Strome on the 2nd and have Frans center a third line with KO and Martin. You have good grit on the top 3 lines this way. |

So is Strait playing again tonight? It was unclear if that was a quote from Saturday or information about tonight. |

Cappy has sounded uncannily like Rich Kotite ever since he got this job (at least to my ears). |

No real surprise. Same as Strait would not sit every game for Pelech either . Cappy does not believe in sitting his favorites forever. |

I have lived through Milbury, Spano, DP injuries, Kvasha, etc. Nothing in my Islander fan tenure has been more frustrating than the personnel choices by this coach. It's one thing to accept the fact your team isn't good enough to get it done. It's another thing when the coach just stinks.
Hey Snow... Ask Cappy to move out of your basement... and fire him. |

Your blog is sounding more and more like Isles Twitter in prose form. Normally I wouldn't stoop to complaining about the officiating, but specific to the Stars game, there were several obvious penalties that the refs ignored. For example, in the first period Hemsky put his stick between and Islander's legs (Okposo maybe?) the Islander went down, and the refs seemed to let that slide because Hemsky dropped his stick and put up his hands like "I didn't mean it." It was text book tripping maybe 15 feet from the ref who was absolutely watching the play. The Islander went down because he was moving his feet. There were a number of similar examples thought that game. So, basically, this isn't the game to complain about the team not generating enough power plays, even if it was an exception to the rule. Besides, I think you're in the minority if you're asserting that the Isles didn't move their feet during the Dallas game. |

This is a lot more frustrating when you have guys like Pulock sitting for Strait and the constant new lines. Back in the day the talent just was not there. |

40 minutes of how they played florida in the last 7 minutes would be the best effort this team has put forth in over a month. |
