Got this off IPB.
Brett Yormark is happy with how the Islanders' first season at Barclays Center has played out.
"We've made great progress," Yormark told the media before Monday night's game. "The building has looked much better. The vibe in the building has been much improved […] We're excited about the future. We're excited about the playoffs. It's been a real positive first year."
Yormark said he was surprised by the fan outrage about obstructed view seats, because the team was forthcoming about the fact that they would exist all the way back in October 2012 when the move was first announced.
"It's not like we said all of a sudden one day, 'Okay, you're going to come to the building, and there's obstructed seats.' That's been public for a couple of years now. Why it became such an issue, I'm not sure," Yormark said.
Yormark did say that while he has not had any recent discussion about changing the building's construction, he did say that they've met with engineers with an eye toward understanding what would have to be done to alleviate the problem.
"We just have to weigh all those things," he said. "If it makes sense, we'll always consider it. If there's ways we can improve the experience, the overall dynamic here, we'll explore it. We owe it to the fans to do that." |

What the hell was that...Keith Jones wants to make me puke... I should have turned the sound off and listened to it on the radio. When the Rangers are on NBCSN, they have their announcers covering the game. - kear20
Not for nothing but our team could have shut him up for us. But they didn't.

Yomark is lying. Season ticket holders have been treated poorly and you probably see big drop off. Most weekday games sell for huge discount.
Only thing is right on I obsession with obstructed seats. Who really cares. Nassau and other arena have plenty of obstructed seats. That's all propaganda.

I thought too last night Vukota, I think they only lost 2 games when was there. one was the season opener, other than that's its been all wins for games I went to before last night.
Here are my lines for tomorrow to make a point.
Clutterbuck Tavares Cizikas
Lee Nielsen Okposo
Bailey Nelson Prince
Martin Strome Kumelin
then Strome cant whine that he playing wing. - Spartiarti
If this got JT on the scoreboard , which it may well work, I think it is worth it...

Looks like Cappy eluding to bringing someone up from Bridgeport. Looks like Strome or Nelson could be shown a seat and Deservingly so. Strome more than anyone.
Hey Dan - I know you follow soundtigers. Is Alan Quine deserving of a call up? seems to be putting up some good points. I haven't see him play. - Spartiarti
Too bad David Ulstrom is over in the KHL, cause he'd be a good fit for the 4th line and move Clutterbuck up. |

They care. Look at this quote after last nights game:
"You can’t have 4-5 guys struggling this time of year and expect to win,” said Jack Capuano, who sounded perplexed rather than angry at yet another no-show by several of his core scorers. “Hopefully those guys can get going but it’s getting a little late.”
Don't you sense the urgency! |

Prime candidate. There may be a silver lining to that signing after all. |
