It's his buddy. The teams success is at the bottom of the priority list anyone who cant see that by now should do the rest of the world a favor and euthanize themselves. - Cptmjl
Ok I get that but it has reached new heights here this year. It's beyond my comprehension. I am done! Fire this Phucking reject already! |

We need to miss the playoffs to get rid of all these clowns.
And I am still not 100% sure that's enough to guarantee a house cleaning.

Being a fan of this team is stupid until Snow and his buddies are gone. If they're here next season ill be taking a break. |

Every season it reaches new heights. Eveey year we all know (think) there will be change and it never happens. Same story every season man. Never changes... "Stay the course" literally translates to continue the stupidity. |

It's frustrating because I know this team. I knew what would happen with Garth making no real moves this offseason. I knew the players would get complacent and that is actually what has happened. There is no fear among the players, GM, or coach. We saw what happened after the Pens series with the same do nothing offseason. |

I think this years team is talented and could actually do something Cpt with some REAL direction. I have reached the breaking point. Say I am wrong but I am done beyond pissed at Snow, time for Crappy to go. I don't care what part of the season it is. GET RID OF HIM! |

I've felt like that for years. They're all clowns. I believe some try to put faith in this nonsense hoping they have some semblance of knowing what they're doing. Im not one to stick my head in the sand and hope for the best. Its been plain as day obvious for years that Snow is a (frank)ing hack who doesnt have the teams best interest on his mind and if he does he's a lot dumber than I initially thought. How can an intelligent person sit back and watch the guy he hired to coach his team continually do the stupid shat he does? Sorry it doesn't exactly scream intelligence to me. |

I am done Cpt ! Tonight I have hit the breaking point. Just makes no sense to keep this coach anymore. No one with any reasoning can change my mind.
Dan, Noel as head writers of this blog Please tell me if you think I am wrong but for me I have hit the point of no return on this coach. |

I hate Cappy to but this is on the players. When is last highlight reel goal you have seen by Tavares? Nelson playing like he wants to get traded.
Strome should have been moved at deadline. At least okposo, Nielsen and Lee are trying out there. They should just put cizikas on first line and pp. but they fear he may score too much and be expensive to sign. Snow mentality.
But rest assured all. Cappy and snow will say we missed playoffs bc of injuries. The loss of Halak and grabovski was too much to overcome. Bc grabovski has been a huge game changer like kumelin. 9mm well spent on those two guys.
But you guys keep blaming Bailey and hickey. You've pinpointed it.
Why pulock gets the grabner treatment is beyond me |

I just see it as JT has lost faith in at least the coach if not more. Even a captain can't hide it much like ovie and Crosby before their last coaching changes. I may be wrong but even JT has a breaking point and I believe that point was passed long ago. |

I have to be honest but I don't keep track of the isles. Is it goaltending? I see your starter is out injured. Is that the reason why you guys struggle, or is there something else? On paper you guys have a very good team. I think by comparing both teams you guys def have the better all around team. |

The entire offense went cold. Can't score 5 on 5. Can't score on the PP. the D aren't contributing anything offensively. The coach can't adjust to get this group out of its funk. 11 goals in the last seven games. No goaltender can play well enough to make up for that inept offense.
The isles won't start winning again until the players start scoring again. They may turn it around. They may not. They have 11 games left to try and salvage what was a solid season until about a month ago. |

I have to say, I'm completely over the "secondary scorers" on this team. I've been patient and tried to be understanding with some of these habitual non-performers, but it's impossible to keep defending these guys. Nelson has been brutal this year, his 21 goals are nothing more than window dressing for what has been a disappointing year. Strome sucks, in plain English. Lee hasn't gotten results, but at least he gives the appearance that he's trying. Kuli has been useless, practically a Bailey equivalent. I know he's been hurt, but Grabo has been dog s**t all year too. Even JT has been a shell of himself. If JT can't get it going, this group has no chance.
It's sad. The only forwards who are doing anything right now outside of the 4th line are KO and Nielsen, both of whom may not be here next year. I've been patient with Snow as well, but regardless of whether this team makes the playoffs or not (I can't believe I actually have to type that scenario) Snow needs to make changes to this team's top six this summer. No more "waiting" for Nelson, Lee and Strome to "take the next step". It may never happen. And we're watching this team constantly tank in the last 4-6 weeks of the season, relying on players to provide scoring they simply are not providing. It's time Snow utilize the "trade" option of his job and get some established top six scoring. |

It happens. Look at the flyers. They are def not poster childs for a high scoring machine. The isles have the talent to turn it around I think. Also whats up with Pollock? I wanted the flyers to select him and the draft. Is he having issues hes not playing? |

Pulock should be playing. He gets benched for Strait because the coach loves Strait. Strait is a plug. A seventh d-man. Pulock has a much higher ceiling and should be playing. The Pulock thing is a perfect example of how Cappy is somewhat tone deaf when it comes to lineups. It's another problem. |

I was wondering. He seems like he had some serious potential. I stopped paying attention to him when he was selected by the isles. |

This team hasn't really played good the entire season. How they have the record they have is beyond me? Theres no consistency to anything from top to bottom. There to me seems to be something wrong in the locker room. Complete speculation on my part I know but when you watch these guys play they put zero effort in most nights and somehow skate away with two points. Its sad because you can imagine them with a coach that demands more from his team instead of attributing losses to "bad luck" and "puck luck" and it's sickening. We all know of we had a real coach we'd be in a MUCH better position right now while Snow continues to "stand by" and watch. Its sickening. Inaction will ultimately be Snow's down fall. Can't wait!
Staple once again used the term "bad luck" when referring to last nights loss. It's pretty funny how this team and its beat writer play us all for a bunch of idiots and then wonder why most islander fans are reactionary with them. |

Exactly. How many times did we all know (think) there'd be change only to see Snow do jack shat. Thats why we should all know by now that the only thing that'll bring about any change will be if Snow goes. |

Believe it or not Boomer Esiason was talking about the Islanders this morning on the FAN. He thinks Tavares is a top 5 player in the NHL (I agree) but he seems frustrated with the players around him (I agree). He thought the Islanders should have made a move at the trade deadline (I agree) and he wonders why they didn't. I'm sure he has inside information he doesn't want to reveal.
Still think the Islanders best option is to break up the fourth line. Put Clutterbuck with Tavares, Cizikas with Neilsen and Martin on the third line. They've tried every player but Clutterbuck with Tavares I think it would work. I'm not Mike Millbury fan, but he said it best last night. "If you're talking about the fourth line that much, the second and third line aren't playing very well." |

Nelson looked really good last year, and though I haven't watched much of the isles this year, last night he looked like a completely different player. That open net he had on Mason on the pp (I believe) , he might be had trouble gathering the puck but he just looked like he took his sweet time putting the puck back on net. Is there some frustration building up with him? If memory serves me correct, I think he was scratched somewhat recently too? |
