But people female doged about overpaying for Kane and to a lesser extent ROR imagine giving up the 7th overall plus, say Baptiste for Muzzin who most fans on the east coast don't really know anything about. I can't think of any good that could come out of ANY of those guys in a Sabre uniform. I think they'd ruin the locker room for one and the Buffalo press would murder them after their first two week dry spell for two .........

Worrying about media and locker room chemistry is just being ridiculous. I'm concerned about what each player can bring to our team/the cost.

I'd love to have Muzzin, but I think he's the last player they give up aside from Doughty and Kopitar. He has a great contract and is a very good player. I can't think of any reason they would move him unless they were getting an insane offer like Reinhart.

Me too, but you and I follow hockey pretty closely. A lot of people don't and would never understand that that's a good deal even given what we'd be giving up. People were pissed about the ROR deal last year for what we gave up; before he started playing obviously.

Steen makes a lot of sense but I don't see them moving him, especially with Backes being a UFA. If they give Backes a big payday then it becomes a lot more likely.

If they get another 1st round knockout I could see them retooling that roster. They have to resign Schwartz as well.

It really is the west coast issue, most dont stay up or have interest in watching those games, dont really have a true understanding of just how good certain players are.

I'd stay away from Perron, he isn't what this team needs.

He wouldn't be my first choice either, Im just saying that there are a lot of options there. finding a winger to play with a franchise C will likely be the easiest part of Murray's off season.

He's not an older guy, in fact he's an RFA, but I like Schwartz out of St Louis a lot. He's going to be hard for the Blues to lock up. He's already making $2.35M and his last three seasons have been 56, 63, and 21 in 24 games so far(he missed a huge chunk with a broken ankle suffered very early on). He's got 8 points in his last 5 games going into tonight.
