Potential lines for Saturday?
Kane-O'Reilly-Fasching
Girgensons-Eichel-Reinhart
Foligno-Larsson-Gionta
Deslauries-Legwand-COR
Risto-Gorges
Bogo-McCabe
Nelson-Pysyk
I'd move Girgensons but I don't see who will slot in there and do better. Moulson would be a scratch unless you want to send COR down. If you want Moulson in the top 6 then I guess you could do that but I don't like it. Maybe D-Lo to open up space but still not fast enough IMO. - Zschalberg
I don't see Bylsma as the type of coach that's gonna put "new college kid" on the top line. Unless Murray asks him to in order to evaluate him.
In fact, Bylsma said in an interview yesterday that all he wants to do is get him practicing and he might be able to get him in to some games.
if you ask me, that sounds like about 6 minutes on the 4th line, not 20+ minutes with ROR.
I could be wrong. |

Here's hoping. Not saying he needs to be on the top line but I don't need another Grigorenko situation. Playing with Legwand and Moulson isn't the way to evaluate him. From what I've heard he isn't fast enough to play with Eichel and that 3rd line produced again last night so I can't see them being broken up. Honestly, O'Reilly's wing looks like the best spot imo. I'd think he can do better than D-Lo, right? No offense to 44, just don't see him as a 1st liner either. |

I think these may be the lines becuase he will want him with ROR in his first game but i dont think he will get the minutes they get. He will play with them but probably only 10-12 minutes or so.
For the new college kid in his first NHL game i would expect #28 ice time. 10-12 mins or so. |

I can't really say he would do better than D-lo because all I've ever really seen of him is a game or two and highlights against other college kids.
I can't imagine he's not going to see games. But we already know Bylsma leans towards experience and shuffles lines like a deck of cards. So, if he had one bad shift, don't be surprised to see him on the 4th.
I feel like we have nothing to lose at this point and if he's signed, play him, but thats just me. |

He leans towards experience? He has had Reinhart on his top line almost all season and Eichel in key PP/PK and 2C duties? Besides Fasching has been at the Prospects camp a few times and played with Eichel in WJ's I think.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was like
Kane - ROR - Reinhart
Moulson/Girgensons- Eichel - Fasching
Foligno - Larsson - Gionta |

Perfect description and a great reason to put Fasch there |

When they were interviewing him on GR, it sounded like he will be with ROR. ROR will have the veteran "calming" affect. He no doubt will be nervous and full of emotion and ROR will be able to settle some of that and also be defensively responsible for any mistakes that are made. On the other hand Kane could make him think wtf am i getting into? lol |

My comments in Garth's thread just got deleted and they were nice. I congratulated Tangled for saying something nice and asked him if that was so hard? |

Well, long term, Fasching is more of the answer than D-Lo. If this was game 40 I'd say ease him in. Game 74 let's throw him into the fire and see what he can do. Again, that's just me, Dan's the only voice that matters.
Even if he starts there for a few shifts and then goes to a different line, that's cool. But I want to see him with skill around him first before seeing his checking role abilities. |

That feeling when you are in the 4 man playoff but are losing to the #1 seed but have 30 and 60 more points than the #2 and #3 seeds playing for a spot in the championship.

Yeah the brackets were not even close to balanced but i had no way of knowing that... Sucks cause your team is killing it this week. You are crushing both other teams Team Co Kane has been crushed with injuries and i think Seguin going down and PK88 not lpaying great is the nail in the coffin for him. |
