Larsson just scored his career high 7th goal of the season. He has 31 total points in his CAREER of 131 games. Girgensons had 30 points last season alone.

That kind of makes my point on this ridiculous comparison that continues. Larsson is a 3rd line player AT BEST. Maybe best suited as a 4th liner.

I think the contract situation has clearly been a distraction

And I think that it's understated that the talent he's played with has been pretty average since StLouis was traded

We're on here all the time talking about how we need to find talented enough wingers to play with Eichel...
I don't see how it's any different with Stamkos
Of course his #s are gonna drop when he's consistently playing with guys he's gotta carry- instead of guys that can also help "create"

It's very reasonable to think his #s would leap back up if he were playing with Jack or Sam or O'Reilly

I don't value him the way some others do on here
Especially when we could potentially get a better player in Stamkos without giving up anything

Some team would most likely overpay much more than I'd give for him
And I also doubt that the Oilers would trade Hall for Pysyk + +
And that's what that suggested deal is really
Bc the MOST important piece they need back if they trade Hall is a top pair defenseman

Maybe they take Pysyk too if they feel whatever defenseman they can get with our pick is the guy they're looking for...

The pieces aren't there. The guys they would have interest in (zads, myers etc.) are gone as a result of those deals.

If a 20 goal guy (who get assists along the way too - so maybe 30 points?) is only worth $4M, maybe, why is a 40 goal 80 point guy worth $12? Doesn't the math say 80 points is $10 if 30 is worth $4?

You'll have a team full of McGinn's & ZERO star players bc none of them will be "worth" the $$$ as far as the equation u laid out goes

they moved zadorov, myers, gringo, lemieux, compher, armia, a first rd pick and pick 31 in the draft to get these 3 guys, plus the traditional 2nd rd pick they would have received for staff

Got it. I agree that i think Risto,Skunk, 1st, McCabe, would be some of the names that would start the conversation. And i would not be interested. IF they would go for 3,28, our first, and a top prospect that i would do.

the smart move is to pay a little extra and get stamkos and keep the assets so they can make trades to get 1 or 2 d men IMO
