the sabres will offer him a contract between 80 and 90 mil if he hits free agency

90 million?!
Unless my math is off, that's about 13mil per season
I want Stamkos
But that's too much
If he won't sign for 11, then he doesn't really wanna be here
I know it's probably not a ton, but it also doesn't take into account the season tickets either. Also, those Canadian numbers seem awfully low. Unless there are that many trolls saying they're from Canada *cough 365, or are using a VPN to appear as if they're in America to get all the cool Netflix shows and are just too lazy to switch it off when they come here.
Edit: the last Leafs blog alone got 400 comments exactly. And just looking at the first page the vast majority claimed to be in Canada. And that site says only 522 average daily hits from Canada. Something's off.
Double edit: TSN.ca only gets about 5 times the daily hits, I'm not quite sure if that means TSN sucks, or Hockeybuzz is pretty good.

I heard they will make an offer in the 11 to 11.5 mil per season but prepared to go a bit higher if needed

Unless they trade for his rights, max length is 7 years. I don't see them offering more than 11.5, so that equals 80.5. No way it gets to 90 mullion - that's almost 13m per, not happpening
Was it Gerbe saying that kid was going to be in the top 10 this year? - jochfr
He said day would go #2 overall and was good enough to be drafted over matthews. Told us "just watch." It's why I laugh when a guy projected really high drops in later rounds. everyone thinks it will be a "steal" if you can get him. He was rated that high when he was 16, 16! That's a kid. He dropped not because he's a steal but because everyone else grew and he stopped dominating against guys that haven't matured yet. Those guys are almost always busts
