I'm starting to think people think Hall is a wussy, the kid is tough and gritty. As for Simmonds, he is a pretty one-dimensional player and good to have the PP, but White (yes he sucks) has shown being a slot presence will reward you with goals. Simmonds and his wiggling along the boards and losing it can be replaced.

Okay.. totally disagree, but I respect your opinion.

You basically have indicated that White could fill in for him. You flat out said he is a "good depth player".

Yet, he is one of the best power forwards in the game. Has averaged 28 goals a year over his Flyers career. Is our toughest forward, and is a true leader.

Poor choice of comparison. Hartsy is a terrible skater and takes penalties like it's his job. Hartsy is down more than up, while Simmonds is complete opposite and never goes down it seems.

Edmonton doesn't have to move anyone, but there is a possibility he could be moved.

And if you don't, someone else will or EDM will explore other avenues. Hall is a good player but he's out of our price range. They will ask for Ghost++. I can virtually promise you that.

He's not the franchise player you solely focus your build around, but he certainly is a guy who is core guy that has a high impact on the team's build. Wayne Simmonds is one of top core guys. When i think of a depth player, I think of Raffl. Wayne Simmonds would be our captain if it weren't Giroux.
