So, I only got one game wrong in the West bracket. I picked Cinci instead of St. Joe's. I picked every other game right. The other brackets? Not so much. I'm only 37 of 58. Yikes. And Kansas lost, so my champion is gone and the only team I have in the Final 4 is Oklahoma whom I had losing to Kansas. - Wetbandit1
Exact same thing as you except my west bracket is still perfect

The struggling Stamkos now has 36 goals. - sbroads24
Yup, was supposed to be on pace for 42.
$11m - $12m for 36 goals
Hall with 25 for $6M.
Leaves room for another FA on the backend...or RFA Offersheet. ...which isn't a bad strategy if you think the 2017 1st will be in the 20's.

[quote=Wetbandit1]Chris Neil got tuned up by Clayton Stoner(best name currently in the NHL) Neil got a couple shots in the end, but it was way too late at that point.
Best is after the fight he's skating away with a blooded nose and watery eyes ... Raising his arms to get the fans approval. The guy is just low IQ.

Hall costs you multiple players and picks though...Stamkos is free.

Is there some news article out there that I missed that says Stamkos is done scoring this season? If the Buffalo Sabres management doesn't push for Stamkos, even at the max price, especially after he shows interest, it's simply not near competent to win a championship. They may not land him, because ultimately it is Stamkos's choice, but the great teams figure out a way to make it work if they have the opportunity.

By MAX, you mean the 14.3 million? Sounds a lot more like that than 10 or 11.

Hall doesn't make sense as a fallback option for Stamkos. FA opens after the draft and EDM theoretically would want out 1st ++ for Hall. So how do we make the fallback trade for Hall before we know what's happening with Stamkos. If Stamkos resigns with TB before the draft it could make sense, but that's looking doubtful.

Love Hall, but not that much...especially in the precarious position we find ourselves in on defense. - RhinoFan
I like Hall too but I wouldn't pay. You can get Eberle for cheaper if you want and you can always move ROR to wing if you get Stamkos. I have a feeling Hall will cost Risto + and frankly if I'm Edm that's what I ask for.

I could see Murray throwing a mid-rounder at Tampa for Stamkos' rights, assuming he would waive the NTC to facilitate the discussions. If he isn't willing to accept the gobs of money we offer him during that period, then you just let it go and move onto your fallback options.
If Stamkos wouldn't waive the NTC to negotiate, then he's probably not realistically considering buffalo as a target anyway. What would he have to lose at that point?

I can see them taking a few teams to ot and either winning one or getting loser points - homiedclown
Agreed. I think you could get a loser point in the Isles and Rags games.
I could care less about tanking, been there done that type of scenario. If they can get a top 3 pick in the lottery great but if they pick 5-7 it could bring into play a trade that could even better the team moving forward. A win-win in my view. And yes, I truly believe Stamkos will be a Sabre.

.500 would be a huge step for this team moving forward, and I think that will be the mindset for the players
