I have seen our d prospects regress way too many times when we have put them as a fixture in the top 4 over the last 20 years

What's Nelson's projection? Are we hoping he can be a top 4 guy? Is that possible?

From everything I've read, he seems like he could have top 4 potential but might start in that 5/6 role. He might need a year in Roch.

What's the logic of Ruhwedel not getting a shot up here again ? He's better than Cola. Either Roch REALLY needs the help or GMTM has no interest in seeing the Sabres D play any better. Play him or trade him.

Seems to me (like Homie mentioned) package a few (Pysyk, Ruhwedel, etc) and you might be able to get something of value.

let bogo and risto play their game and let yandle and fowler lead the rush

NHL dmen need more skills than "smooth skater".

He's a little different than Ruhwedel but not really appreciably better (or worse).

Except the yotes would never do that. OEL is one of the best defenseman in the game and is still really young.

OMG yes...

Not a chance Arizona does that though.

I am not sure the 1st alone gets OEL, even if it is a PR dream for Arizona. They need to build a winning team or the fan fare of having the local boy on the team will die down real quick.
