Just saw a rumor that the Flyers will sign Emery to back up Mase until Neuvirth is fit, to allow Stolarz to go back to the Phantoms.

you're a MvW listener, right? I started listening to today's, but had to stop only a few minutes after they start on the Vesey thing. Did it get as heated as Wyshynski suggests?

No, it didn't get all that heated. I've been streaming podcasts all day and if there's anything I gleaned from this Vesey situation is that everyone seems to be pulling in the same direction. The Preds sent Paul Fenton to talk to him and Vesey looked him in the face and 3 times told him he was signing with the Preds. They even told him they were holding a top 9 forward spot open for him this season.

No one is saying it's not the players right to do what he's doing, it's that he looked them in the face and said he was signing then suddenly had his rep call and say it wasn't happening.

If Toronto signs Vesey it's going to be an all out circus going into training camp.

Gotcha, thanks. I did hear one of those two mention they thought Poile may be preparing to call collusion. Not sure which, I've never listened to the podcast before, and have only heard Wysh guest on the Powerplay.

I've seen Ray start twice. In 2010, if he had stayed healthy I wonder what would have happened. He was solid until he went down. I sometimes forget that he was the starter at the beginning of that epic year.

I saw Emery twice in Columbus. Once last season and the other two seasons ago when Vinny returned from a back injury. Funny note, I saw Emery start in Detroit after Vinny hurt himself the night before against the Coyotes.

So maybe it was only 4 times.

So it was your fault! I saw pronger twice. Wow. What a player. I was always amazed at how he could get that shot through from the point on the pp when he looked covered. Low and accurate.

So how does rays contract work on a pto? He can dress and backup and not just practice, but obviously not eligible for playoffs regardless of michals status.

More good news

Hakstol is now the third coach to use MacDonald as a 20+ minute, top 4 defenseman. I can buy two of those coaches being idiots with faulty eyes, but three is a stretch.

I understand that, but i think this is more out of necessity. remember, hexy and hak had to agree on sending AMac to LHV in the first place. now that he's up, he doesnt really have anyone else. plus, being on a pairing with Ghost, who absolutely needs minutes, doesnt hurt AMac's playing time either.
