I thought you wanted PP time taken out of it since the measly 21 minutes MacDonald has got are supposedly skewing the stats so much.
It's truly amazing that the day after a great Flyers win where MacDonald played well enough that I literally saw no one complain about him on HFB or BSH (where he is generally thought of as being worse than cancer), that how much AMac supposedly sucks in the main topic of conversation here on the hockeybuzz. - Feanor
You can make stats do pretty much whatever you want.
I don't remember anyone (in this thread) saying AMac sucks.

Thanks Bill for the report, and the opinions from yesterday. It's frustrating to see the Flyers continue to be unable to build upon, or hold a lead. The team came out ready to play, and scored two goals. After that, they seemed to sit back, and rely upon Mase to carry them through the rest of the game. I am just glad that they could get the OT win, and added another win for Mase. I criticize the teams play, because as mentioned by the game's announcers last night, there are correctable mistakes being made over, and over again. And, if Mase gets burned out by season's end, then who will carry them through the first round of the playoffs (assuming that we make the playoffs)? Any news on how Neuvy is progressing, and if he would be back for the first round? |

I thought about complaint his behind the back pass from the corner that turned into a point blank clear jets shot from the slot with 3 minutes left in the 2nd. |

First page.
AMac is just awful, it's hard to believe that Medvedev or even Alt or Morin could be worse.

So Del Zotto is the worst offensive defenseman on the Flyers, right? - wolfhounds
His production is the lowest, but he was asked to be the minute munching #1 dman who faced off against the other teams top lines all season. Which he did an admirable job of, at least when he was paired with the best possession dman on the team in Gudas. So I can accept the huge dip in his point scoring from last season.
http://www.nhl.com/stats/...ggregate=0&teamId=4&pos=D
MacDonald didn't produce enough offensively last season and I was critical of him for it, but so far this season he's gotten back to being a useful offensive contributor. That shouldn't be a controversial statement to make. |

Guess OT doesnt count as even strength...and I guess we jsut wont discuss the other points I made though
You've made your point...I have made mine...I dont care anymore about nitpicking 5v5, pp ice time, OT points, who was burned by mcdavid the most times...you win if thats what you want to hear
Just please explain the difference in team performance and scoring. Explain how all these stats you are mentioning aren't a result of the team playing better as a whole and AMac not being a part of the terrible stretch that was the beginning of the year because that is all that matters to me at this point |

"Can you imagine if Ghost had pulled a Jimmy Vesey? Watching him do this stuff for another team...it's too horrific to even think about!
Mark Friedman, don't be a Vesey. Though idk if he even stays to graduate. I could see him leaving early; he's probably too good for his team. When do you think he signs, Bill? After next season?"
I really hate this somewhat of a trend lately with college kids not signing with their draft teams. I hope more players don't start following suit whether euros, college or junior players. Imagine if Ghost or Provolov did that? Don't like it. |
