Fasching goal was a great play but honestly since that he's hasn't done much of anything. Not a shot a him because he is a rookie but it actually makes nelson that much more impressive. You can tell with each shift he's improving even getting some time with the goalie pulled. I know its only been two games but just watching him gain confidence (especially on the PP) is impressive.

Lastly, you can see the advantages of being an above average skater (sorry Moulson) in todays league.

The deflection in front of the net last night was beautiful, it was an amazing save and should of been a goal.... Fasching is not looking out of place. And look who his line mates are.... Cant expect much playing with "slowest skater in the NHL" Moulson

I find it humorous that Nelson is show us in two games what we've been waiting almost three years for Ruhwedel to do. I really hope this kid works out, it's about time the Sabres score on an undrafted player.

one goal and a tip doesn't earn him top 6 minutes... hes got great potential but that doesnt mean he's top 6 quality right now. He's got a great chance these next few games to prove he doesnt deserve to be in roch next year
