That was all intent.
It should get 20 games. not the first time he has done it either.

5 games at most. He shouldn't have done it, but c'mon, Carter intentionally gave a slash to Keith's exposed hand. And two weeks out from the start of the playoffs. What if Keith's hand was broken? Keith shouldn't have hit Carter in his face with his stick, but he should have chased him down and beaten the holy hell out of him.

The fact that some of the games might be playoff games should play no role in calculating the length of any suspension. This is a malicious dangerous play - with a stick being used as a weapon.
And that's not hyperbole.
It may be that it all happened instantly, but just means Keith's first thought was to hurt the other guy, and he wasn't able to check that impulse until it was too late.

Because it's a intentional stick to the face I think it will be taken seriously, but I just don't see the league messing with Chicago's playoff chances.

That's not the one we are talking about.
He was just showing Keith has a history of being a douchebag with his stick

That's not the actual slash
The one against Carter happened in the playoffs a couple years ago
This one happened against Coyle from Minnesota & was worse
The Carter one was just a love tap & he was suspended for 1 game I think

It almost looks unintentional. Like just flipping over too get up. - cabin
At the very least it was extraordinarily reckless. But that was completely intentional. Maybe he just wanted to hit him in the arm or something and missed, but either way it was really, really reckless and should probably net him 3 games.
Also Shaw really got tuned up. Spirited bout from him, but he flat out got his ass kicked. Maybe get the hair out of the eyes next time, eh?

Agreed . More reckless. Pretty much your idea of it is what I was trying to get too. Thanks
