Lets see what Keith gets for his late season assault.
I'm betting once again a sugar coated line of BS will follow up his discipline.
The insanity of the league n the DPS is well known.
Credibility is not in the leagues vocabulary.
I hope I am wrong but the odds r in my favour 😂😂 |

He is a defensive D man only n who expects otherwise?
So what he has taken a beating he is not alone in that area. Lol - Nighthawk
You clearly don't watch other teams... That's ok, but I generally dislike it when I have to spoon feed people that don't understand...
This was just the start of a bad 2 weeks for Polak...

I was thinking of this too.
Both suspended for having a go.
If you're a rookie looking to rough up Polak, you're probably thinking twice for the rest of the year.

Haley went right at Nurse the next matchup against the Oilers in response.

And so would JV, if he was playing...which would have been a more fitting punishment/justice imo. |

We have been down the Crawford path here. I am wondering…why would people want him back?

I was an emergency goalie in in the WCHL while going to school in Reno. I sat on the bench with Fresno a few times. Gully was always great. He is a master student and spends hours studying film. I have a hard time writing him off so easily. |

Why scouts like Juolevi over Chychrun in NHL draft
http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...olevi-chychrun-nhl-draft/
Food for thought. - dbot
Thanks for the share. My reluctance towards Juolevi is whether he can defend, as most scouts have Sergachev and Chychrun as the better defensive players. He is a hell of a skater though, I thought he was the best player at the WJC (but we all know awards go to guys who get points). Just reluctant when scouts say his d-game isn`t there... but good read! |

More of a joke than anything else...but if i was going to throw some sheet against the wall to see if it would stick...
He's a coach that has won a cup, has experience that could be useful in advisory role to WD.
He could put some pressure on WD to succeed and perhaps add to offensive output (or lack thereof).
He has coached Mathews and may an inside track into how best to utilise him.
He also had success with Sedins.
He is the ying to WDs yang.

I always liked gully as well. He;s been here a few years now so I wouldnt cry either if he was gone with the rest.
I like to see him get a kick at running the D instead. Cant be any worse than the job being done currently. Never know, he could prove to be excellent at it. |

Totally seems like a nice guy.
Just haven't seen the results (either here or with Dallas).
No problem keeping him in some sort of advisory role...but if heads gotta roll...
plus he's not a WD guy, so, wouldn't rock to the boat too much if he was replaced. |

True.
Although, we have quite a few guys that can defend and lack that offence from the backend.
Interesting that Chychurun is not a slamdunk though. |

so get rid of lidster, move gully to D coach (theres no way that that wouldnt be an upgrade---gully is pretty smart too) and let crow run special teams and advise. If I recall correctly he was here when burrows started cracking nhl as a regular.
That scenario would upgrade the team |

My fav is sergachev. Wicked offense....breakaway goals amazing point shot and hes top rated to become an nhl regular at 88%, which is way more than the rest.
WE need his offence ....liked his video more than any other. |

Gully is no dummy. My friend was the trainer in Vegas with the Wranglers and he said that he watched game film like a maniac. For MGT to keep him around through all the change speaks to his ability I believe.
Let's face it it... With the personnel and all the injuries you can't blame this on coaching.
The Oilers have had very good coaching under Krueger and McLellan and through 3 coaches the results have been the same. Let's stop the coach killing.
Vancouver just doesn't have the personnel to get the results we have become accustomed to. |

Its not ALL their fault no. Nor do I claim its 100% 1 way either. There have been other issues. But to go n firmly place it on players isnt right either. People tend to blame things on 1 aspect.
I see it as coaching staff is poor, there needs to be a few changes to D core itself and injuries have greatly affected results. We saw earlier in the year this team and staff is capable of better results. Not GREAT results, but better.
Remember ive been wanting a change for 1.5 years now. This is me NOT blaming them at the end of the season!!! SO dont go there cause thats not how it is.
They dont cut it and arent the right guys for the job, so get em out.....no different than people wanting this player traded or that player. No different. If you guys see a player isnt that great or could be improve you want it to change right? This is exactly the same. |

As Vantel would likely mention, Sergachev has done more to move up. Chychrun has had a very good year, but doesn't seem to be grabbing the limelight like him and Juolevi. I think he is the best d-man, but just happens to be on a pretty weak team. Juolevi and Sergechev both play for mem-cup contenders with NHL draft picks.
That being said, I'm going to be happy with any one of them, happier still with Matthews, Puuljaarvi or Laine
I should note again though, our chances of picking outside of the top-3 are higher right now than picking in the top-3, I know many of you know this but as we continue to drop many here seem to think we are a lock. We have around a 15% chance to get each pick, which means our odds of getting one of the three is around 40-45% but slipping to 4 is still 55% or more. |

Sedins throwing the kids to the wolves yet again. I get they are leaders, but they should be saying this in the Locker room, not the media. If they want the team to work harder, they have to look no further than their Captain/Alternate who cant put a puck in a net. Bothered me that the Sedins have anything negative to say about these kids publicly, because they certainly arent carrying their end. - Crazybagoham
Spot on, dump these over aged bums, what the (frank) have they done since they've been 28. Crap players holding back spots for young inexperienced youth, (frank) morality, honour, integrity, respect and leadership, overrated. |
