Sens game sets up nicely for the flyers. Third game in four day stretch for Ottawa all on the road and recently eliminated from playoffs. Flyers will be rested no excuses two points is a must Saturday. |

That is why I would pull the goalie. I don't trust the shootout. - J35Bacher[/
Yes but it's way too easy to get the puck going the other way with all that room on the ice and then the EN goal seals the deal. Too risky, I hate shoot outs almost as much as ISIS but I'd risk the shoot out. |

Well, you're also gonna have guys playing for jobs for next year now that they've been eliminated.
If you come at them quick in the beginning, maybe they fold, but I wouldn't count on it.
It's 2 points the Flyers should be able to scoop up. |

I've actually liked AMac recently, but he didn't look too great early last night. He got better as the game went on, but made some bad reads and had 2 "wtf" turnovers last night. - jmatchett383
Agreed. He was ok, which is about the best you are going to get from him. |

Agreed. Last night, they played a solid game, despite limited rest. I think as long as they go 4-2 the rest of the way, they'll get in. The Pitt games worry me. They haven't played well vs them at all this year. |

It just seems weird against them this year, maybe because the past few years we've sucked and have been able to find some intensity/hatred to show up for those games, and now we're a better team but both games this year I've had weird feelings about. I dunno, they just don't have the same fire against them, we need a G check on Crosby then goal to fire them up. |

The best Detroit can do is 97 pts. If the Flyers get 8 pts in their last 6 games they hold the tie breaker and they'll be in. |

Did you happen to catch the name of the guy whose painting of Ghost they gave away at the game last night? |

I think he would be great with Couturier. Solid playmaker. Very creative. I could see them going back to the Couturier and Schenn combo next season.
Voracek - Giroux - Simmonds
Konecny - Couturier - Schenn
Laughton - Cousins - Raffl
Leier - Bellemare - (insert name) I like Bardreau but maybe they keep white vandevelde there.
I think that's 4 lines that can roll . I would move read at the draft for maybe picks. - J35Bacher
I've seen you mention him numerous times. what is your love for him? I am not saying that in a sarcastic way, I literally have never seen him play outside of maybe prospect camp so I am really asking. |

He's supposed to be the prototypical 4th liner. Decent skill set and a good helping of sandpaper. |

I almost feel that Stolarz needs to start Saturday. I know how important the games are and I know Mason says he is fine but I feel he has boxed some pucks in recent games and if they do qualify for the playoffs what energy will Mason have.
Also putting Stolarz in for Ottawa could provide a little extra spark for the team to rally around. - J35Bacher
here is my thinking, they are 2 up with a game in hand. Before the Flyers play Detroit they get Ottawa and the Pens while Detroit plays Minny and Toronto. We really need Minnesota to beat Detroit. I'm hoping to go into that Detroit game at a minimum of 2 points up with winning that game putting them up 4 with a game in hand with the Flyers closing with Toronto, Pitts and the Isles and the Wings closing with Boston (huge game for Boston) and the Rangers. back to back is tough but that Ottawa game is huge. I go with Mason until the Toronto game. |

I don't know.
Flyers are playing well. Never know what happens in the playoffs. All the pressure would be on the other team.
And this team seems to play up to their opponents level. I wouldn't count them out of any series even though they would be the underdog in them all. - J35Bacher
didn't say they can't win. Actually saying the pressure is on Washington to win a few round because of their recent history. |

Should have traded Read, Streit, Schultz, and Raffl for 5th round picks. |

Right...but in the scenario, you need 2 points, 1 point won't help you, so who cares? - jmatchett383
2010 says anything can happen in the SO. I don't think I risk the open net esp with all that open ice even 4-3. |

Haha Man he's doing a great job. Trading dead weight, re filling the cupboard with prospects, and creating cap space while contending for a playoff spot. |
