Guile's just better looking, dude. Harsh truth. - jmatchett383
Its okay, I'm better looking than most. |

A couple things from my weeklong absence (i apologize to my fans):
1) Was at the Winnepeg game. Dollar dog night..the food stations were all sold out everywhere and people were searching for them like vultures. Twisted my ankle trying to find them (literally). On the other hand, the Wells Fargo Center was probably louder than it has been in 2 seasons when G scored that OT goal. It was incredible to be there.
2)Call me crazy but I would love to draw the Caps in Round 1. All the pressure is on them. We can be the looser team and just play our game and they will have to deal with all the expectations. We've been probably one of the better teams in the league for a little while now and I think it would be a lot closer than outsiders might think. Also, I know the past is the past but you can't overlook the fact that they have been perennial playoff chokers in the past after having done so well in the regular season. I just don't fear playing them like I would the Stars or Blues or even Hawks and Kings.
3) I have been one of the biggest Konecny supporters here but this shoulder issue has me worried. Apparently, this type of issue was what scared scouts off from him in the last draft (might have even been the same shoulder). If it has been a chronic issue, I am worried it will carry into his NHL career and hinder him. I really don't want him to be an in-and-out of the lineup kind of guy. Really want to see this guy succeed. He's huge for the future of this team.
4) What have you all been eating the past week? |

2010 says anything can happen in the SO. I don't think I risk the open net esp with all that open ice even 4-3. - nastyflyergirl
No (frank)ing way do I entertain pulling mason to avoid the SO. Zero.

1) i wasnt
2) asking to play the best team in the NHL is a recipe for letdown, although I do agree with all points mentioned...holtby has the ability to win a series by himself...I do believe it will be the most exciting matchup though and there wont by any easy ones so whatever...Flyers are playing great let it ride
3) shoulder issue scares me as well and it is the same one. seems like he went back to philly so that they could check out and OK whatever decision was made...im the least amount of worried i could be to still be considered worried
4) chipotle just opened by my office...they are still learning about portion size

I'm thinking that he was okayed to play in the playoffs for the Sting but he will probably get offseason shoulder surgery. For those who wanted to see the kid up with the Flyers next year (me included) this would be a huge set back as he won't be able to work out and prepare much ahead of training camp. For a guy who may be seen as right on the fence between coming to the NHL and going back to Juniors, it will probably be enough for Hextall to send him back for his final junior year. I hope this is not the case but you can bet your tushy that the team is going to want this shoulder issue to be taken care of before he comes over. |

It took you a week to come up with this:
1. I hurt myself gorging on hotdogs
2. I wanna play the Caps because we'll be loose
3. I can't believe prospects get hurt
4. What's in your poop? |

If he goes back to juniors to dominate for one year, then so be it. I'd much rather he be 100% healthy when he joins the club than 80% healthy and have an in-season injury. Plus, it saves a year on his ELC. |

Probably some corn, since I had a crispy chicken bowl, with mashed 'taters, cheese, and corn for lunch yesterday. |

1. I had 2 hotdogs. I hurt myself because I was drunk.
2. Many reasons I want to play the Caps
3. Getting hurt and having a chronic injury are two vastly different things.

I don't feel like tilting my head to read the graph titles. I'll assume this says he's good at playing hockey.
Edit: I also can't take a graph seriously when it has a hole in it. The values should be 0, not void. |

Haha Man he's doing a great job. Trading dead weight, re filling the cupboard with prospects, and creating cap space while contending for a playoff spot. - Hextall271
I'm more optimistic now then I've been for a long time with this team.
They are doing it right. |

I'm seeing it as he had an awesome start but has fallen off the rookie cliff.
Meaning Ghost is now in the Calder race. |

Right...which means the values should be 0 and the graph should be adjusted accordingly, not have voids. |

I've seen you mention him numerous times. what is your love for him? I am not saying that in a sarcastic way, I literally have never seen him play outside of maybe prospect camp so I am really asking. - nastyflyergirl
I have watched Phantom games. He is good two way player. Good skater. Can ship in some offense. Kills penalties.
Moving forward I would rather have a 4th line that has a little more skill. I would even be ok with Martel on the fourth line. I want to increase team speed and skill. |

correct...I think he is clearly too good to not be in the NHL but may not be developed physically to handle an NHL season...which is right where Konecny appears to be |

and create the visual of a smoothed line from a value to 0? id rather just be able to see which games he missed, but to each his own |
