We had a teacher who was teaching a bunch of mechanical engineers an electrical engineering circuit class that we were required to take. He said on day 1 that he didn't grade on a curve, that he had both passed and failed full classes before. Well, we all failed, and he graded on a curve. The people who just barely failed got an A, and the people who failed poorly got an F.

I got an F. Then I retook it the next semester with a different professor and got an A, on no curve.

Magic.

The person that taught us all the cancer drugs was really tricky. We're not experts. (frank) off.

The person who taught leukemia was horrendous. That's why I just looked at the guidelines. She'd contradict herself on her handouts, what she actually would say, and what was on the slide. She even said 2 different things in 2 different emails. She taught anemia too. More of the same.

Brutal.

Larger universities that have multiple professors teaching the same class are infuriating if you have to retake it and see the difference in how they teach. Not the best exampleas it was just your basic required English class for freshmen, but my class had to write a total of ~100 pages of papers while my roommate wrote maybe 10.

They had pretty nice rookie years, imho.
- Scoob

They did, and I'm actually surprised that Stone finished second. But Panarin and McDavid probably beat both of them, and Ekblad, too.

which course?

Neutropenic fever patient.

Allergies: amoxicillin (hives)

Do you go cefepime? It's first line. Or do you go aztreonam. Both cover pseudomonas, and both are recommended, but cefepime is drug of choice.

Third option...

Asphyxiation. Solves all the problems.

my wife did the drexel ACE program and often told me about how there would be multiple choice questions with all correct answers but 1 was the most right...sounded fun

Ekblad and Myers have won it in the fairly recent history. But they didn't have Panarin/McDavid types in their class, either. If Ghost's biggest challenge was the rookie versions of Matt Duchesne and Jimmy Howard or Mark Stone and Johnny Gaudreau, he'd have much better shot.
- jmatchett383

Crazy to think last year Klingberg had a very similar stat season as Ghost is having and didn't even get a nomination. But I think Ghost has attracted more attention. Last year was actually really strong too I'd say. Gaudreau was essentially Panarin. Forsberg couldn't even get nominated.

I just had a thought about last year...rather have Ekblad or Klingberg? Ekblad definitely has the bigger hype, but I don't think he's any better than Klingberg. Heck I may take the latter. But they're pretty neck and neck.

Wrong type.

Im talking the "no patient no problem" type of asphyxiation

pnt

Anemias
Neonatal TPN
Peds nutrition
Peds rehydration
"Intro to cancer" which is basically the side effects and pharmacology and pearls of a whole (frank) ton of common cancer drugs/biologics
Leukemias
Neutropenic Fever

No doubt the hardest exam I've ever took. Took me 2 hours to get through 40 questions. (frank)kkk that.

It seemed like every question was a trick question

- Giroux_Is_God

that is a ton of material, but all very applicable
I'm sure it will be graded on a curve, they have to

So rude... And I havn't really been rude to you. Its very hard for a Dman to win MVP or Rookie MVP. Thats nothing against Ghost, its a simple fact.

That's literally every question I ever take. Or at least, there will be 2 correct ones but one is most correct.

We also have questions that look like this.

Here's the question. There's probably a huge case with labs and things on it right above this.

I. Answer
II. Answer
III. Answer
IV. Answer

a) I and III
b) I, II and III
c) II and IV
d) IV only
e) I, II, III and IV

I think Ekblad doing it as an 18 year old factored in...which somehow doesnt seem to affect Panarin...Ekblad was much more sheltered than Klingberg was too. Who knows what would've come of Klingberg getting better goaltending

Well, this was Rowan University, who's engineering class of 2005 was 20-25 kids per discipline. I had class with the same 25 kids for 4 years, and there was only one offering.

The guy who failed everyone was all circuit theory, which is a death sentences for mechanicals, we like things we can see. The second guy was practical, and it made so much more sense.

Hey buddy, do you know what imatinib is? Cisplatin? How does motrin work? Should you take it with a PPI? Do you know what a PPI is?

I'll bet you'd be the kind of person who expects rhinocort to help with asthma because it's a spray.

(frank) off. Why are you even here, anyway? No one (frank)ing likes you.

I don't really think that Med School should be graded on a curve. If it's preparing you for the real world, the grieving parents don't want to hear, "Hey, it was 70% right, that's not bad."
