Hes already made it into med school... hes gonna be fine no matter the result of one test. I don't like to throw sympathy out for people who are already in such a good place to be and forget that because of one setback.

But I'm a bit cynical in these situations.

Steely McBeam is a disgrace to the Steelers organization. I always liked that they never stooped to needing mascots/cheerleaders, all they needed was a dedicated owner group and a good team.

I guess I am showing my being pretty young with being unaware of that mascot...

As you can see by another post, I was in his shoes when I was in college and I know I dealt with it the same way. Learning experience which is what college really is about. Learning to deal with setbacks and overcome them. As someone else said after school you figure out they didn't need you to know everything they taught in class just enough to prove you can absorb the important. Everything else you can look up.

At least a couple times a week I end up saying, I don't have the answer right now but I will get back to you on that. I go back to my desk google it and find a few solutions or the one that everyone gives (more often then not) and fix the user's issue and they are grateful that I fixed it.

Yep, college is practically worthless... you get the basics that you might use at work, but moreso are showing an employer you aren't a moron and can learn whatever they have to teach you.

Nothing in my first three jobs built upon my education. ~_~

I think Ekblad doing it as an 18 year old factored in...which somehow doesnt seem to affect Panarin...Ekblad was much more sheltered than Klingberg was too. Who knows what would've come of Klingberg getting better goaltending
- YuenglingJagr

I think Ekblad is awesome, but there always is an urge to just give the Calder to the #1 pick, not that he didn't deserve it -- doing that at 18-19 is legit. Otoh as a 22 year old rookie d man who was a late pick, Klingberg put up 40 points in 65 games w/ 11 goals, and it never got the attention it should've. He was used like a top pairing d man; Ekblad was sheltered out the whazoo and played with the very good Brian Campbell. Now he could be nominated for the Norris. I just thought Ghost and Klingon had a few similarities in their seasons.

Ermmm... wasn't Tanner's blog at about 170 posts? Did a mass purge occur there a bit ago?

agree, klingberg was lucky offensively and unlucky defensively but it kinda evened out. not sure he shoots 11% ever again

...Ghost is shooting 11.5%....not that he will ever do that again, but I think his goal scoring is very sustainable. OEL shoots like 9% each year, and I think that's doable. He doesn't just shoot from the blue line and hope for a bounce -- he can snipe and a lot of his goals are actually from crashing the net or jumping up. But I'm on a tangent now...so would you rather have Ekblad or Klingberg? Charts must be provided in an answer.

I have said Ghosts shooting percentage is a bit unsustainable (it was over 20 for a while). I was comparing him to Ekblad when I mentioned Klingbergs % though...not Ghost.

anyway in response to your question

Kinda depends in what situation (starting a franchise? who on the flyers? salary cap?) but I would still pick Ekblad

Travis Konecny was in attendance at the game last night. We won the shootout. This is not coincidence people.

I really don't know. Mason stopped both shots; Flyers scored on both shots -- it was a perfect SO. What's better than perfect?

sorry...i keep telling myself im going to finish something up before work is over so trying to avoid that rabbit hole. Id bet that the fancys are in Klingbergs favor, but to me it all comes down to being 20 vs 23
