One thing that I thoroughly enjoyed about last night was the amount of Love Pierre was giving the whole flyers organization. Gave tons of credit to Hexy and Haks several times before and during the game /commentary. And it's exciting when he gets into details about "the ton of A level prospects the flyers have waiting to come up." |

By all accounts Morin continues to grow as a player he would bring size and toughness to a team that needs it.....the dark horses could also be Alt or Sanheim....I watched Sanheim's playoff game Sunday and he was the best player on the ice. He looks like he too has out grown Jr. hockey.

If Morin has a good camp then I could see it. But I still feel he might start in AHL and be first call up for injury. |

I don't usually complain about the referees, but that was a miserably officiated game last night. How does Chimera get away with using the butt end of his stick to spear Ghost right in front of the official? |

The only reason they took Vinny is he agreed to retire at the end of the season and we ate half his salary.
The bigger part is him retiring. Because if he doesn't then there is no way they can keep Lucic after the kopitar deal. - J35Bacher
Yes...but they didnt just take Vinny at 50% retained. They took BOTH of them at 50% retained, which is slightly higher than Schenn's full hit while "solving" their 3C/4C issue.
In a vacuum, yes they would get more for just Luke Schenn, but there is no guarantee the Flyers retain half of Luke's salary without them taking Vinny. And Schenn's full salary would lessen the return |

As much as I love the potential of Sanheim, from what I've seen and what I've heard from folks who've seen much more of him, he will need time in the AHL before he's ready.
That being said, he has potential to be a top pair guy that plays in all situations and could one day form a devastating top pairing with Provorov.

What I love is that he is eligible to go to the A next year. The Phantoms will be a really fun team to watch soon. Provy up with the big squad, and Sanheim, Morin perfecting the craft.
Even if Konecny only has one arm, I'll take him on the 3rd line! - Hextall271
I think he would be great with Couturier. Solid playmaker. Very creative. I could see them going back to the Couturier and Schenn combo next season.
Voracek - Giroux - Simmonds
Konecny - Couturier - Schenn
Laughton - Cousins - Raffl
Leier - Bellemare - (insert name) I like Bardreau but maybe they keep white vandevelde there.
I think that's 4 lines that can roll . I would move read at the draft for maybe picks. |

That is possible, but seriously optimistic. Its likely to see Sanheim in the AHL for a few seasons. Hagg, Friedman might not work out at all. Lots of time, but either way.. the future is incredibly exciting to think about. |

We beat the Caps last night and it looks like we are gonna make the playoffs. Seems like a good day to be optimistic!

I could see one of the prospects moved. Something like Hagg moved for a similar type forward.
Prospect for prospect type deal where each team gets a need. |

That Drouin to the Flyers at the draft will be pretty sweet trade for us. |

I almost feel that Stolarz needs to start Saturday. I know how important the games are and I know Mason says he is fine but I feel he has boxed some pucks in recent games and if they do qualify for the playoffs what energy will Mason have.
Also putting Stolarz in for Ottawa could provide a little extra spark for the team to rally around. |

They won't trade us Drouin after we sign Stamkos. |

Plus Sens may be missing one of best players Stone after that crushing hit from Big Buff. |

In a FB scrap with someone who thinks Ryan White is useless and its ridiculous that he is on the 2nd PP unit. |

I think he's at his most useful on the 2nd PP unit. He has underrated hands and offensive instincts.
But at ES and on the PK he struggles to keep up. |

Really impressed how cousins has grown defensively. There are times he gets stuck defending the first line and is able to hold his own. A really smart effective player - ravishingone
and it makes me wonder sometimes if Laughton would have been better off spending more time in the AHL. |

They looked like a hockey team that played in a hockey game and lost a hockey game. Does it matter what letter game it was? Looked to be a fun primer for the games that will matter come mid april
on the bright side this reminds me of the fun day that was 12 pages of what percentage do good teams play to their level each and every night - YuenglingJagr
From a Caps standpoint it matters. If last night was their best, I cannot wait to face them in the first round.

He's an above average net-front presence on the second PP unit, is good at winning faceoffs, and brings "sandpaper" to the team. After that, he doesn't offer much in the way of skating or skill at even strength, and his PK ability is subpar. |

Well it all started over the fact that I said he has played a huge part (on the 2nd unit) in this march to the playoffs. He was pissed about the penalty and said he is a slug who shouldnt be in the lineup let alone on the PP.
The dude has 3 PPG's in March, and about 3 or 4 huge screens on goals as well.
To boot, he is 5th among forwards on our team in goal scoring. |

If they had another right hand option I am sure he would be out there over White. If they worked it from the other half boards they also might have someone else in front. |

I kinda think they may be waiting until the playoff picture is more clear before resting Mason. I understand it, but still dont necessarily agree with it. The every other day rhythm works well for Mason I think so these back to backs and 2 days off complicate things...really not sure if I would have Stolarz play against OTT or PIT |
