I mean... I am in the minority but i don't think it was a horrible nomination. He had obvious issues before the season began and is still going to have to deal with those, but knowing that definitely led this team out of the dark bottom that it was in and played a great year and showed outside the rink with stuff in the community that he was above what everyone thought of him after his incident... does it exonerate him of what he did? No absolutely not. But it shows he faced self caused adversity and came out better from it...

but as stated it's just an award... not a big deal, slow news day

I mean... I am in the minority but i don't think it was a horrible nomination. So basically this is all the sports writers fault. They are getting attacked for it and its glorious. Especially since Mike Harrington goes around telling people they are the problem and he is apart of the "fraternity" that nominated ROR and is bringing this on themselves.

I swear I think some of these guys get in a room together and think of ways to be the biggest trolls and a$$holes ever.

That being said if what one of the posters on here says is true that it wasn't ROR driving but an even bigger NHL star and it comes out Yost and company are going to look like even bigger douche nozzles

I think if for instance it was another teams player like say Minnesota's not a original 6 franchise of course they would be jumping on them as well.

Yost is far too impressed with himself and his opinion . Analytics are not the be all and end all of understanding hockey. Also Was he in Southern Ontario the night of the incident . Does he know the whole story and the characters involved. Since he has gone to TSN he has worked his way to poophead status. Hey Yost we all don'[t sit here waiting for your opinion on Hockey

That was me . Think LA kings and someone O'Reilly is chums with and they grew up in the same area and their families still live there. The two of them were coming from a Charity golf tournament and decided to drive home instead of staying in the room that was provided for them.
