What I've seen from bean has been really impressive! He's a really smooth skater and has a great eye

I have only the internet to go by & very little on tv game experience on Bean.
His stock has risen tons for a reason i guess. Thx for added info👍🏻

The tankers here are too much.

First they say we're going to suck for awhile, just get used to it.
Time to sell high on assets like Hansen.

Then when we suck for 9 games (with Hansen out for most), Hansen comes back and adds a spark and everyone wants to keep him!

I'm a tanker but I said we will be competitive next year.

I also said if you can get a first for Hansen you take it. I still say if you can get a trade that knocks your socks off you take it, otherwise keep him.

I have always been on the side of one year tank. You have Cap Space and expiring contracts along with a skilled team. I know I've never been on the side of taking many years

I'd say that holds true for any player.

My comment was not directed towards anyone in particular, just the sense that if a player hits a cold patch, fans say he should be in Jr, waived, traded, whatever.
Then if he warms up, people say he's a building block.
Too flip floppy.

e.g. JV at the start of the year, many questioned if he should be in Jr, now he's accepted as playing well. JM is the opposite, had a good lil streak at the beginning of the year and now needs to be sent to Utica asap.

I still want to trade him. Though I can see why they would want to keep him to help teach the young kids as he sets a good example of trying every shift. I would keep one of Burrows or Hansen. Pref keep Hansen as the vet but if we get a great deal, take it and run. But we both know benning won't because he has bad asset management, though great talent assessment(at least so far).

I said all year JV belonged here , but I am saying now a year on the farm would not hurt him.

I didn't take it directly aimed at me . I think when so many people post the ideas and comments blend in .

I am very happy with the high draft pick but I want things fixed in the offseason . Bring in a top 6 and a starting Dman and add a fourth liner.

I have been standing behind Vey but I say upgrade him . Start finding his replacement.

I don't want Vrbata Hamhuis ( unless 2 years 2 mil each as a 5/6 Dman) Burrows or Higgins back.

Indeed they would. The team lets say Toronto would ask for permission to talk to stamkos and his agent and see what kind of deal they could get done before the trade happens. So instead you get him for 9-10 instead of 12 because your trying to out bid other teams.

Stamkos has told his junior coach that he will be in Toronto next fall. His junior coach is a friend and business associate of mine.

6-8th pick for 19 & 26th is a tough one to conceive I agree.
It could only happen after we pick & JB sees a gem & Boston wants our player.
At this time that seems a stretch though.

- Nighthawk

Not sure the last standings you've seen but 18 and 16 would be the picks if both lost in the first round. could take fabbro and bean.

He's the only guy out of the old guard that may actually make it through the rebuild and be an effective player still (in three years +). I still think we should trade him while his value is high, but it's got to be the right deal (ie defense or 1st rounder) to make it happen. Last summer I thought Vrbata should be traded caus ehis value was so high, I just think that's sometimes the saavy time to trade if you know your team is not a contender for a few years.

Bringing back vrbata and Hamhuis just means another losing season. JB needs to starting trade players when value is high with contracts nearing end.

Maybe some people say one thing and others say another. Or maybe opinions change based on circumstance, God forbid. Half the posts on this board lately are complaining about other posters. I find that significantly more annoying than someone who has changed their mind over the course of a fcking season. But that's just me.

Just thought I'd give credit where credit is due: Dragon has been preaching how Tree going to be an impact guy for us, and was met with mixed reactions (my own was doubt, for sure). Looks like you were right, he's pretty awesome. Him dropping Kesler last night might have been my favorite Canuck play of the year. I hope he continues to gain confidence. Also, seems like Hammer has been in his ear and it seems to be working. I'm warming up to him around for another couple years at hopefully a reduced salary, he may be the best guy to mentor over Edler/Tanev(even if he has lost a step).

Like the "impact" he made on (heavyweight) Chris Stewart?

Ya actually. I thought he stepped up to Stewert, Getzlaf and Kesler pretty impressively for a 21 year old rookie. Answering the bell doesn't mean your the only one laying the body, it means you're in the thick of it and not backing down IMO.

The idea that there is any one big group of people sharing a exact set of ideas, opinions and wants is ridiculous.

The only RHD in the 1st round r Bean & Fabbro.
Question is more what JB wants & what he sees in them.
Idk myself if either would be better than BPA or top D on the board eg Chychrun & what the other pick or piece going our way is to get our 1st.
