We have Edler Tanev Tryamkin Hutton Biega Larsen Sbisa under contract already next year plus RFA Pedan. 8 contracts
- VANTEL

I dont think Biega starts on this team the way things are looking, and i think JB is smart enough to realize we need a top 4 D, easier said then done i know but hes not shy pulling a trigger on a trade he knows will improve the team (Sutter deal).

Trade Edler; Biega and Pedan can be 7/8, I don't see them showing that they can actually be contributing daily 5/6 D as of right now.
Subban has been pretty good in Utica, should be given a chance. Sign a FA D. Sign the next Ben Hutton.

Sbisa i'd buyout over Burrows.

I don't think Hamhuis fits into the future even for a year or 2 to let someone else develop. Not even for the "right" price.

Hutton, Tanev, Tryamkin should be built upon. Find players that will help them excel.

If Sutters not with the twins i hope they sign/trade for someone else. Id like Hansen to play the year with Baertchi/Horvat think that would be a solid all around line.

I suspect that is their plan.

I like Biega but don't think he should be considered a NHLer, great insurance to have but we need to add a legit RHD IMO for next year.

I'm not sure Pedan > Biega. Pedan has struggled. He has a higher ceiling maybe, but right now Biega is playing better hockey.

I don't think Suttrr ends up playing wing unless McCabb forces his way back in or we get Matthews. Hansen had been too good with the sedins to separate.

Sedin
Sutter
Horvat
Gaunce/Granlund
Zalewski
Friesen
Labate
Cassels

Out of the list I still see the following being on Utica next year:
Friesen, Labate, Cassels, McCann added as he needs to add at least 20 pounds. A year in Utica will help Jared and probably Jake

I agree, even Larson having a full time spot shouldnt be a guarantee

I agree, plus with all this cap Benning must have something up his sleeve, but like you said injuries stacked against this team, its a good sign though when a top 4 dman gets injured (hamhuis) and a rookie who was top 6 can come in and handle the top 4 roll, shows for good signs ahead. I strongly disagree with people saying were going into a 3-6 year rebuild
- phyllee

It's more like 3-5 years. Year 3 will technically be next year and we may just fluke into the PO's next year with a healthy squad AND if Markstrom shows a bit more consistency.

Yeah it makes more sense if this is year 3. And i believe if Miller and Markstrom 50/50 split next season well have solid goaltending

Dorsett and Virtanen back at practice; Pedan still at forward and all the forwards that were injured in California still missing.

And a rundown of Canucks prospects in their junior playoffs—Czech championship for Lukas Jasek!
