8th overall, they selected Sean Couturier. - LeftCoaster
Dang, those two trades were unreal. |

They have great prospects for D . They are going to bring up Provorov Morin and Sanheim next year - VANTEL
They should have selected Dougie Hamilton instead of Couturier but yes they've made "D" a priority. |

I've heard tell that Morin is not looking that great, Provorov looks pretty darn good though. Sanhiem making the team straight out of Junior is a stretch though, no? I can't see all three making the squad. They certainly do know how to stock the cupboards though, lots of d-men picked in the first two rounds |

Morin is 6'7" 230 lbs, he'll be a stay at home kinda guy. Robert Hagg is doing ok as well. |

My mistake Provorov and Sanheim are both in Jr. . I thought both played AHL this year, I was wrong |

I don't know if they would trade any of those kids, but eventually they might have to. Also, what do we have that they want? Do we give a prospect like Demko?!
Lefty, the knock on Morin is his skating from what I've read. He's huge and a beast in front of the net, but I've heard he doesn't move too well. |

I'd give him the Calder. Anyone is better than a team with Keith on it. |

You read correctly, he's slow...as mentioned, he's no Tryamkin. |

nominated I'd say too. I think Panarin will edge out him and McDavidd though, he's just been so steady for a rookie even if he's 24. |

The hype is pretty big, but 45 points in 43 games>72 points in 77 games?... He wouldn't get my vote.
42 points in 59 games, and your team turns the corner into a playoff team is pretty darn good from Ghost too.

I want to point out there is a big difference between tanking and bandwagoning .
A Tank fan wants a higher draft pick.
A bandwagoner comes in when things are good and leaves when things go bad. Like when Nucker left when things went south. Him going to the Flyers and cherry Picking a team on the rise is what a bandwagoner does and it got him his new name Phucker.
I suggest to avoid confusion in the future we start calling bandwagon jumpers Phuckers.
No more saying You Useless Bandwagoner , you call them You Useless Phucker. No more you're a horrible badwagoning fan , you say you are a horrible phucking fan - VANTEL
I understand what you are saying but Nucker bolted when we had a strong start and only comes back to gloat when people are stressing about TDL etc to gloat..

Just googled the calder:
The Calder Memorial Trophy is an annual award given "to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League.
In this sense, you are right, but often seems like a popularity content. |
