Yup. Only CHL players arent eligible for the ahl until 20 or something. NCAA and europeans can head right over tothe ahl.

I wonder if Cedarholm Stewart and Neill will make the Comets next year

A couple of weeks ago he said he didnt know if he would be back and needed to talk it over or something. To me that sounds like a guy who more or less is looking to make the jump. JB did say he thinks he needs one more season but with the rate these guys are opting for UFA id sign him ASAP. Plus he really doesnt have anything left to prove, he was 2nd in league scoring and broke his schools rookie records.

If it is another year in college or a year in Utica, he might stay in college... nothing left to prove, but he is still developing. I am not sure if he went to college for the hockey or the degree?

If Rodin is getting a winger spot on the 2nd or 3rd line and Sutter/Bo are in the middle on those lines, it sounds like JV and McCann won't be missed if they start the year in Utica.

Unless the complication is JV and McCann upset with the demotion.

I still don't know where Granlund fits in? 4th line centre or bottom 6 winger?

We need more grit in the bottom 6.

Not sure I dont know enough but Neill seems like a solid prospect the other two are mehh for me I say no and I was kind of shocked that they were signed and are still with the club.

I think Utica will be more interesting in terms of spots and who plays with who than the Canucks next season. They could have a roster with JV, JM, Boeser and maybe even who we draft this year. With the defense who knows who will be there, but Im hoping we can land 1 or 2 college/european UFAs.

I have seen Demko gone on the radio and say he has to think about it, and was going to talk it over with his family and such but I do remember seeing/hearing Boeser say he was going back for 1 more year somewhere. I will try and find link.

Higgins is not a center and is only playing with the Canucks because of injury.
Granlund will be resigned and will see time WAY before Higgins will.

No, No and maybe.

Utica has been absolutely devastated with injuries this year and didn't use either Cederholm or Stewart for the most part.

Stewart actually was given lots of opportunity early but then was sent to the ECHL and then sent back Juniors, obviously he has the size and intangibles that Benning likes but at some point needs to be able to play hockey.

Cederholm had an okay season in the ECHL but hasn't been able to improve his mobility.

3 coaches 4 years. I know WD is not great but where do the problems really lie?
