Name a great atmosphere of one of the non playoff teams. Seems every great atmosphere being mentioned are all playoff teams methinks there may be a trend

Atmosphere in Calgary is night and day compared to last year. Rocking last year, not so much this year. Definately a trend.

Pretty much. Very few games were televised back then. But we actually played a lot of street hockey vs video game hockey .

Nothing wrong with lacrosse, as long as theyre active. I watched a little league baseball game recently and that was quite the eye opener. Almost every kid was frankly fat and lazy and didnt care at all. Just being honest.

Not really, Saddledome has never been really a rocking arena, very corporate.
Ive been to louder arenas and meaningless games compared to what playoff atmospher is like in the dome.

The city gets fun but the dome is meh

Thats where I stayed, liked the neighbourhood and what they were trying to do. Just doesnt have the density and people living there to really make it work.

It will get there but still probably 5 years away until its a very vibrant area, just need the people to start intensifying it...streets are too quite and too car oriented when I was there. Cool area though

Days of if your in the house ill find you something to do is long gone. Ofcourse society hasnt helped either cause if you not with your kids and they are out by themselves they will get kidnapped

It's also technology - used to be kids had to go out into the neighborhood and hang out w the neighbors or be lonely. Now every kid can "talk" to their friends from states (hell time zones!) away or FaceTime or snap chat whatever. Why go outside to hang with kids you like OK when you can just stay in and hang w the people you like most on social media.
