Agreed , although one could argue the Isles have never had good ownership. Remember Boe had the Isles teetering on bankruptcy, and Pickett early on entered into the SMG deal.

Well, there was one smart owner....

Ironically, he probably would have been the best of all of them.

I’m still voting for Crawford. He’s put the word out that he’s not going to coach in the swiss league again next season and would even take a job as an assistant coach in the nhl if he can’t find a head coaching gig. I’d love to see him behind the isles bench.
- Isles_since_6

I'm fine with Crawford, maybe an Andy Murray or Kevin Dineen . I want someone tough and no pushover types.

He really could have been. If only he got rid of MM when he had the chance.

Pelech was dealing with the same stuff Stamkos is.

Vukota should start his own rumor site.

Yep which is probably the main reason why the Islanders are still in NY.

Capuano still using bad luck as a reason for the Islanders recent bad record.

Like watching a car crash.

jesus man...I turned on the pregame, which I never do...someone really needs to euthanize Stan Fischler. He's hanging on by a thread.

I loved his insights into whether Tampa would call up Drouin to replace Stamkos. "They will, if they think he's going to help." Thanks, Stan.

Nelson's numbers, outside of his goal production, are not too good either. I agree with you that guys like Kuli and Lee also need to be called to the carpet. There are plenty of guys not doing their jobs this season.
- Jethro09

Nelson top 3 in goals scored and he rarely has seen 1st PP unit...also moved from 1st to 3rd line most of the season has had to play with the likes of Grabo, Kuli, Bailey or Prince. If only Garth had gotten a real winger for the top line, Kid line could play together, with almost guaranteed better results than they've had this year, apart. I said it from training camp that Strome wasn't the right fit for Tavares. Cappy's Wheel of Forwards line combos have only exasperated the problems our players have had with scoring consistently. This team is in sorry shape, with the playoffs only a week away. And they've still yet to clinch....

Oh look, sustained offensive zone pressure when you don't trot out the sh!tty third pairing with Tavares' line.

Not a bad start and Zidlicky immediately kills the momentum with a penalty.

Same as it always was. Out for the remainder of the regular season and then will be re-evaluated.

Inside source(although some don't believe me) tells me: Hamonic's injury is a broken ankle.. Apparently for all of playoffs.. Hope not.

And Gallof claims he heard a rumor that he'll be back for the playoffs. Who knows.

Why on earth would you put Prince in the penalty box to serve Okposo's penalty?? Prince's forte is speed which he can really use to advantage in a 4 on 4...

Personally, I would have taken a nail gun and nailed Bailey to the floor inside the box.
