To win on the road in the Joe with Detroit's long streak of making the playoffs at stake is going to be very hard
Everyone is assuming they will win, I'm just not sure at all about it - Marc D
I really don't assume that at all. We've got to play well these last 4 to get in. The only thing I am assuming really is that we'll lose vs Pitt unless they decide to rest all of their starters which I doubt. Detroit is desperate, and Toronto has been playing very well of late. I think Boston is really struggling, and might go 0-2 and we'd only need 1 pt. |

I totally get what youre saying...but Detroits biggest game is the Bruins. They just need to stay above them and they are in. So who knows what they will be thinking in this game. I still expect their all though |

Both Flyers and Detroit are in a pickle. They're both going to empty their tank tonight to get up on the other, and they're going to have to refuel for huge games the next night. This is where not having Neuvirth is going to hurt the most, these next 2. |

This would be a great scenario, and the way the Bruins are crapping the bed it may come to pass. I'd probably go with giving Stollie the Isles game if it means nothing. To send him against pitt right now will scar him for life. - Hextall271
Don't forget, the Pens may be playing for nothing at that point |

The difference is Detroit is in Boston, while the Flyers are playing the worst team in the sport at home. |

Boston has been in a tailspin and Toronto has been playing much better lately with all the young guys playing loose. Also, Edmonton is the worst team in the NHL, hardly the "worst team in the sport." |

Detroit could beat the Flyers in regulation and lose to the Bruins in regulation and will be tied at 93 points with a tiebreaker adv.
Really they should just make a deal with us...we dont check them and dont make them skate hard...let them practice essentially and we get to win the game in OT, then they are fresh and beat Boston |

I guess it's semantics. The Oilers and Leafs both have 67 points. The Oilers have McDavid, Hall, and RNH while the Leafs don't have much of anything, not to mention they are crippled by injury, along with Kadri being suspended. Tomorrow night is a layup. |

Hopefully tonight will be played like a playoff game. If it's a grind game, ww might have an advantage. |

They are icing a team tomorrow that doesn't have a single player with 40 points. They are awful. |

Can't you just wait until after the game to tell us how "awful" and "pathetic" it is like usual |

And yet we lost to them at home in the dying seconds of a game we needed. |

Imo. Flyers come out and take care of business tonight and tommorow.
A shootout loss isn't the worst thing in the world. They need points. Not ideal though |

Nylander has 10 points in 19 games and JvR has missed half the season. Not that they're a good team, but they can be a dangerous team. |

Is 40 a special number to you?
Flyers have 6 players with 35+ points.
Leafs have 4 players with 35+ points. (5 players including Kadri)

Either way, we should beat Toronto. Not because they have x guys who have y points. But because we're in playoff contention and they're in draft lottery contention. You don't make the playoffs if you don't win the games you should win. The Flyers clearly have had issues this year, with 3 out of 5 losses in March coming against non-playoff teams (Arizona, Columbus, Edmonton).
That being said, there's 4 games left this year and I don't think us, as fans, should overlook certain games. This game tonight is looking to be the most important game of the season. Regulation win will be pivotal. |
