Bille tweeted that MacDonald-Ghost was a pairing at practice, so maybe he's not actually ruled out for Wednesday? And the 5th line was Laughton-Weal-Umberger.

Line didn't do well last game but they really have been playing terrific. Having a third line that is skilled, forechecks hard, and is respectable 2 way has really changed the dynamic of the this team down the stretch. It's one of the reasons we are talking about "playoffs" imo. I would sit VDV for Laughton, who is essentially a better VDV at this point and capable of 4th line play...but that just isn't happening lol.

You wouldn't think it because they are small, but they've been terrors in the forcheck cycle game. And unlike the 4th, they have the skill to do more with it. It's been a pleasant surprise.
