You know the game was boring when Mike doesn't even bother writing a before or after article about it |

For whoever asked about Guhle earlier, he does not appear to be eligible for the AHL next year. He will only be turning 19 this year (currently still 18) and only has 3 seasons played for Juniors.
He would need to turn 20 by the end of this calendar year (or by time the season starts, I'm not sure which) or have played 4 seasons of Juniors to be able to avoid the CHL agreement. |

Interesting, maybe there is something with him that makes him eligible? Like i said NHL 16 is normally dead on when the guys come to the AHL and are available and things like that and in year 2 he is on the AHL squad... Obviously that is a video game but like i said they are normally correct on when players move to the A. |

Just end the transfer rule or make the draft age 20.
You make the draft age 20 then change the UFA rules to the player has to have 8 yrs of NHL Experience thus making UFA's a min of 28. |

Methinks the Union would tell you to go (frank) yourself with that proposal, or at least regarding the 28 minimum age. |

I go by a principle never to buy a jersey of a player younger than I am unless it's a family member (which I don't see happening any time soon). At this point, just about every player worth a damn in this league falls under that category, so I never have to worry about this. - buffalofan19
I have Eichel, i'm not really worried about that one though. |

I think that says more about the state of our division. - Zschalberg
I think our division happens to be ripe for the picking right at the perfect time for us.
Florida has heavily depended on Luongo, Jagr & Mitchell. As they tail off, it remains to be seen how that'll affect the overall team.
Stamkos might not come to Buffalo, but his loss will hurt Tampa. The "triplets" line isn't gonna have as much room without him to take pressure off them. Also, they might have to trade Bishop now, bc he's UFA after next year. Is Vasilevskiy ready?
Detroit has a weird goalie issue. Datsyuk night leave for Russia next year, but he & Zetterberg are old anyways. They've got some good young forwards who are starting to come into their own, but defense is a big problem for them. Pretty mediocre for the most part.
Boston seems like they overachieved to me. They're about to miss the playoffs. And Chara just isn't what he used to be, which is probably why Radk has looked erratic at times.
Montreal is probably going to make some big changes. Even with Price coming back, they've proven they're a mess. Remains to be seen how the upcoming changes will affect them.
Not to worried about Ottawa. They're average at best, and that's if they can find a way to pay their good young players. Seems like they'll have to let some go though.
So it looks to me like we are on the rise,
When everyone else is starting to slip a bit.
We could be the "surprise" team of the NHL next year with a couple nice moves by Murray & rebound seasons from guys like Ennis & Girgensons.
And consistent play from guys like Bogosian, Foligno & Larsson.
I don't think this team is far away from success

I'm fine with that more than I am just packaging a bunch of 2nd or 3rd rounders for a player. We need to start getting the pipeline full again - sbroads24

I kind of feel like 2-3 years for him would show him a commitment for service rendered.
Try to play him and Lehner back to back next year and trade one of them if they both have good numbers.
It would actually create a good goalie situation and if no one needs a goalie this year, there's always next year.
I'd rather have the competition than the situation we had with miller and what ever scrub was backing him... - seedy
I think a 2 year deal for Johnson is fair for both sides
And bringing along Ullmark slowly won't hurt him. There's no reason to rush his development
