I fancy myself a Western omelette right about now - rangerdanger94
Actually... I'm gonna be having awesome omelettes in the near future. Wild Russian boar sausage, instead of bacon, in mine. My father and brother shot one each last weekend.

Agree and disagree. Boyle's hit was not malicious, nor did he intend to hurt Girardi. It was actually a pretty harmless shove. But anyone who has watched hockey, played hockey or know anything about hockey understands that the harmless shove from blindside when your 4 feet away from the boards to a unsuspecting player because he's still 10 feet away from the puck is the most dangerous hit in the game. Just like a few years ago when Brad Richards was sent head first into the boards when he was on the point. Harmless shove, but it's Boyles responsibility to understand that play. G is not expecting contact nor SHOULD he because he's still so far away from the puck. So he can't protect himself. Not to mention it was blindside to top it off.

I played juniors, I bet you don't even slap shot, bro
Glass hit was borderline, but Vlad got caught admiring his pass. What he got is enough. - Artyukhin76
I agree with this. Wasn't vicious but caught him unsuspecting. Looked worse than it was but those are the breaks.
On the Boyle his, I also don't think it was vicious but really just a crappy result. It was a penalty as G did not have the puck. The impact of the board was exponentially harder than the hit itself, but definitely a reckless play by Boyle.
How bad did Girardi's injury look. And seriously not trolling here, but does anyone here think that McIlrath might be a better option than Girardi/Boyle at this stage to begin with?
