Two plays I remember clearly, Lindros' first game back to Philly, KJ coming in from the point and beat Richter glove side. And (maybe again against the Rangers) him going end to end and scoring another beauty. Shame concussions shorted his career.

Being the position they are in, to miss the playoffs would be a collapse. You have to take expectations from the beginning of the season out of the equation now, because it doesn't matter. I think the NHL playoff calculator has them at 80% to make it.

I think the Flyers are playing with house money just getting into the playoffs, so if they can make Washington sweat in the first round, I'm cool with that. The Flyers have played them pretty tough. I have no delusions that the Flyers can keep up with them in a 7 game series, but I think they will make Washington work for it.

why dont you think they can keep up with them. An 8 can beat a 1, happens all the time in the playoffs. thats why hockey is THE greatest sport, well one of many reasons.

i for one am looking forward to it, just because the capitals are the presidents cup winners doesnt mean theyre given an automatic pass to the SCF. the flyers finally have a system they are buying into and the chemistry in the room is off the charts with these guys. who knows how the caps will react if say they lose game 1 to the flyers or end up down 2-1.

they have new guys and lost some big heart and soul guys/long term guys this year. i for one would love a playoff series and think
