It's a foot injury. He is finally close to being back to his norm. Looked very good on Saturday against Ottawa. Pretty much no one had a good game on Sunday but he did score a goal at least.

Wings can relate. They took a 7-2 whipping at the Pens' hands. Have won 3 of 4 since then.

As noted in the blog, if you look at the team stats for Flyers and Wings this year, they are very similar -- identical 5-on-5 goals scored, identical average goals scored, virtually identical faceoff percentages, very close in GAA (Flyers one-tenth of a goal better). No wonder they are tied in points.

Flyers need to dig deep for a road win tonight. The Joe is a tough building.

I like the fact that DET won its last two games coupled with the fact that the Flyers had an embarrassing loss in their last outing. The planets are starting to form that straight line for us. I expect a hungry in your face style from the Flyers tonight venturing towards a 4-2 win. Schenn, Giroux, Ghost and Streit with the goals.

In 10 years I've never missing the Flyers come to Detroit, I've only seen us beat the Wings in their barn 3 times. Like for us, those wins are pretty recent. I'll be there tonight 12 row behind the benches, I'm taking a pretty lady and I have a 100 bucks on the game. What can go wrong? Probably everything.

They've been pretty good at rebounding of late IMO. I'm glad they got a couple days of rest (maybe 3 if you count that they didn't show up Sunday).. Weather an early storm, and I think we can win it. I still think Boston is toast, and that if we can get even 4 of the 8 remaining points, we'll be in easily. Boston may drop both games in Reg IMO
